It was fantastic. We had tons of room to move around.
Beautiful sand and water, lots of shells! A company sets up lounge chairs, domed shades, and umbrellas all down the beach, which took up a lot of space and blocked your view if you had to set up behind them. A manatee swam by me on my last day when the beach wasn't as crowded-- so cool!
Many places to eat and get drinks near the beach.

There are many great bars and restaurants some with happy hours. The beaches are powder white and go on for miles. Check out North beach and Sand Key.
Car is not really necessary if you eat out. Car is handy if you use supermarkets.
We stayed for a month and didn't want to leave.

Our accommodations were nice.
Our accommodations were nice. My only complaint was the loud construction sounds on both sides of the hotel. I would like to see them have a room/rooms available with small kitchenette as there was no restaraunt on site and no breakfast offered, no microwave in the room.

Having been to other places on the gulf coast I would rate Clearwater beach a long way behind the other places we have visited. The general vibe of the place was not very friendly, bar and restaurant staff bordering on rude(not all of course).Sorry Clearwater beach,we will not be returning any time soon.

This place we stayed "Michael's Surfside Cabanas" is not located in Clearwater Beach -- it is actually located in Redington Shores! I do think Booking.com needs to correct this on their site!

Great location, 1 block from the beach in a quieter section of clearwater beach yet walking distance from the pier. Larger sized unit, good kitchen facilities, great coffee maker, a toaster oven, microwave and fabulous gas stove. The property had a lot of nice extras, suntan lotion, beach chairs, beach toys and beach umbrella and beach towels which was wonderful. Having free parking at the building was fabulous. Kim and Darlene who run it, and the cleaning staff were superb. You couldn't ask for nicer more accommodating people.
2nd time here. Was very upset to here that hotel don't more own Waterpark and they provide just 1 free pass on group of 4. And no discount for hotel guests. $30 adult $27 kids.
Bigger rooms are great you as. Lot of room, good kitchen, big bathroom.
But for 5 days there was no cleaning, and you have to ask for towels change. Sometimes twice a day, because they can easily forget.
Location is great, 4 minuts to best beach with amazing sand. Very good for little kids.
The location & proximity to the beach, the warm welcome, the clean awards, the villa inside & out was a slice of heaven on earth! The best 4 nights in Florida in my 52 trips around the sun! The owner, whom I vowed to only stay there for all future trips! The personal touches & warm hospitality & meeting the others staying at the Villa who now stay there every year for many years! (Readers Digest version)😉
The location to the beach is fantastic, the hotel reminded me of one I stayed in when we went to Florida keys and stayed in Truman Ave, it was made of wood and surrounded with palm trees and a lovely pool hidden behind the palm trees, we enjoyed the rustic style of the room, nice and comfy but not the most modern, simple answer would I book it and go back again? Absolutely YES
We asked for a GOOD room close to the beach and pool bc it was our Anniversary. I emailed the hotel multiple times w our request and the guy at the desk ASSURED US, we would LOVE IT! It was all overlooking the parking lot! Disappointed we called the desk who said there were NO ROOMS. We spoke to the manager who kindly gave us a GOOD room near the beach! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
The room was pretty neat. Very nice. I had a city view with a very small partial ocean view.
(I was fine with that)
Bathroom was ok. The location is PERECT!!! Right on the beach, the pool was clean and so relaxing. You can eat, drink, and relax all in one. Hotel is literally near every kind of shop from liquor to pharmacy needs. The staff were super nice!
Beautifully renovated hotel. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The walk in shower was outstanding! Staff was warm, welcoming and friendly.
Short two minute walk to beach.....conveniently located near restaurants.
We will definitely will be back to Devon Shores on our next trip to Clearwater Beach.....we love this place!
Fantastic location on the corner of the front strand of Clearwater Beach. Very nice and relaxing hotel with extremely helpful staff. We enjoyed the complimentary refreshments, oceanfront view of dolphins and pelicans, corner entry direct to the beach, and excellent walkability to restaurants, shopping, fun, and nightlife.
Classic old-skool Florida, before the glitzy high-rises came to town. Everything you need, with a touch of technology. One story with a pool just outside your door, and the room, linens, and equipment were all very clean, with well-appointed kitchen cabinets. And within walking distance of the beach and restaurants.
This is one of the best places I have stayed. Helpful and friendly staff attended to any of your needs. Property was clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again. What more could you ask for beachfront property at a great price. Thank you to staff at the hotel for making our stay very enjoyable.
- hotel is super nice and tidy, rooms are big and clean, beds are comfortable - was the 10 out 20 hotels we have been in August in Florida
- beach access is just walk away
- hotel is good equipped with a peer to fish, pool, beach stuff for free, etc.
The bar at the beach and the beach itself. Rooms decent size and even a little view of ocean from balconies on the side of hotel ( partial ocean view rooms). Nice little private location squeezed into an otherwise fairly expensive hotel zone
It was a one-night stay before flying out of Tampa in the morning. Since all hotels were expensive anyway, we opted for something near the beach where we could explore a bit. This served the purpose but was a pretty bare bones experience.
Not beachfront, but the beach is right there a road over so the walk wasn't bad at all. Location was really good. Kids enjoyed the pool. It worked for a quick 2 night stay but with so many other options I would not return.
The location is in the center of Clearwater beach, with short walking distance to Pier 60, the park, and the marina. The hotel is very clean. The balcony at my gulf front room is the best place to watch sunset.
The pool area was beautiful, loved the healthy food options. Staff was amazing. Golf cart rides to the beach were very convenient. Nearby restaurants as well as hotel restaurants were great!!
