Branson was fun. The production at Sight and Sound Theater was fantastic as was the Titanic Museum. We spent time at The Landing which was also nice. Our hotel was good, and the local food options were also good. We will definitely go back. Getting around in Branson is fine with GPS, but the traffic is a bit heavy. Our trip was fun and we have look forward to our next trip there.

If you don't have kids go before school is out for the summer. Minimal crowds and easy access to any thing you want to do. Since they have all the outer roads complete, it is really easy to get around town.

Branson, if you know your way around, it a nice place to visit. We went to Branson Landing just to walk around, ate at Shogun's (and had a great chef there), and spent some time walking around Silver Dollar City (expensive, but we have season passes - it makes taking our grandchildren there during the summer and for Christmas a little cheaper and gets us into WhiteWater as well). However, I grew up around there, so I know many of the back roads and shortcuts around town so I don't have to deal with the traffic issues that most visitors have to deal with. If you drive the main drag it can take forever to get around. Familiarize yourself with the different routes (red, yellow, and blue) that will help you get around town easier. There are some good shows - again, it can be a bit expensive. We are planning a miniature golf trip to Branson in July with one of our granddaughters. Lots of different courses to play with some trips to the mountain coasters, WhiteWater, and Tanger Outlet Mall thrown in.

Branson has become a money trap.
Branson has become a money trap. The price has doubled in the last year and the quality is less than half of what it used to be. Don't eat at starving Marvin's buffet it's hands down the worst food in Branson and the most expensive.

The main street was full of carnivals rides, ticket booths.
The main street was full of carnivals rides, ticket booths. Theatre's, fast food, restaurants. The overall feel of an area that has past its prime. Also very congested. The old town had the regular souvenir stores. Did find a wonderful Romanian cafe called Translavania for great cappuccinos and caramel rolls. Branson seems like a blend of tacky main drag, old town and delightful river walk area. If I were to visit again, I would look for accommodations outside of Branson. We stayed at a hotel with a high rating and I would give it a poor rating. Most of the lodging choices were worse than where we stayed. Entertainment trying hard but loosing it's luster. We ate dinner both nights at Cheddars from scratch cooking. Very good and reasonable. Clean and new.
The Dutton Inn was centrally located on the strip. Easy access to all routes around Branson. The room was great and bed comfortable. Enjoyed the full breakfast and the two ladies serving were a joy to wake-up too. Loved seeing the Dutton family working around the Inn to help make our stay enjoyable and more personable. We had a great visit in Branson.
I loved the location of thousand hill resort hotel! It was close to Tanger mall, walmart, aquarium, and lots more! The pool and hot tub were well maintained. The bathroom was small but we didn't spend much time in room, so that didn't bother us. Room was clean and tidy. Anything I asked of front desk we received very quickly. Overall, great hotel!
It was in a good location. Close to all of the fun things that Branson has to offer. The hotel was nice. The room was pretty clean. The breakfast was spectacular. And they changed it up both days so we didn’t have to eat the same breakfast twice in a row! The view from the room was awesome. We could see the big Branson Ferris wheel!
What I liked:
- The location - we were able to access most locations on the strip by foot if we wanted but we drove. All locations we wanted to visit were less than 10 minutes away
- The Price Point - At $60 a night this was a decent deal
- The breakfast at the hotel is pretty much on par with most
We were greeted by friendly staff, a clean room (the quality you would see in a bigger more expensive hotel), the continental breakfast was wonderful, and the pool area was clean and well kept. The location was quiet, yet close to the main attractions of Branson.
Breakfast was above average for Branson. Despite being full, the hotel was really quiet. We were next to elevator and saw people each time we opened door, but hardly any noise inside room. Lots of water pressure. Curtains we dark.
Location was great for going to the different areas within Branson. Better deal than a hotel for a family with more than 4 people. Unit has the needed cooking supplies for cooking a few meals instead of always going out to eat.
The hotel its self is beautiful and in a great location. Not right on the strip with the congestion but not too far where you have to drive 20 minutes. Only 5 minutes from the main attractions. The staff were very friendly!!
I booked an additional night here and was just as pleased with this hotel. Clean, comfortable room, great location, friendly staff, and a wonderful breakfast. I will definitely choose this hotel for my next trip to Branson!
The staff was very nice and helpful. The entire place was clean. The hotel was in a great location for everything we did during our stay. We will definitely be using Bransons Best again for our next trip.
We liked the location, the friendliness of the hotel workers, they helped so much in making sure we were happy, helped with setting up for any shows or things to do in branson. Our room was excellent.
Located right between the titanic and the big sky experience. Those wee the two things we did on the strip a little chaotic until you learn the back roads overall a very nivmce stay.
I usually stay at Quality Inns. it said the hotel was on the Strip.. surly people at front desk, shower didn’t work, noisy. The actual property was nice.
