When I booked the hotel I said I wanted one with breakfast and a hot tub. No breakfast and the hot tub was broke. No pillowcases on the pillows. I bought some at Walmart. Up half the night because of noise. I paid 152.00 for this stay. Rip off.

It's been 5 years since I was in Topeka.
It's been 5 years since I was in Topeka. Perviously, I lived here for more than 10 years. I was shocked to see how many restaurants had lowered the quality of their food. There were a couple of places where the customer service was very good but, overall, employees seem to be aiming for the lowest acceptable form of service. Why is it that the Walmart employees can be so friendly and helpful while most stopped caring? The only restaurants that served a high quality product was a place called The Blue Moose and the Longhorn Steakhouse.

Check out the Evil Knievel and Harley Davidson Museum - if you were a fan at all! The Capital is a beautiful and great place to visit as well. The Kansas History Museum, once done with remodeling is also another worthwhile stop.

Our reason for going to Topeka was to tour the State Capitol building which we try to do in each state we visit. It was a lovely building! So glad we had a chance to see it on a self-guided tour.
The young man at the hotel had recommended Iron Rail Brewing Company for dinner and it was great! We each had a flight of local beers which we enjoyed. For dinner I chose BBQ brisket and ribs with coleslaw and Texas toast and my sister had the grilled cheese with brisket sandwich and fries. Delicious!

We were only there for 1 night.
We were only there for 1 night. We met with Rocky Mountain Collie and Sheltie Rescue to pick up a dog. It was convenient, the location was quiet, because it was off the main drag in a business park. We got carry outs from Panera's. Our dogs (x2) were able to stay with us.

Great place to visit.
Great place to visit. Come with a car or rent one, shopping and other things to see are kinda scattered around the area. I used lot of UBER and I have to say Topeka has the friendliest most helpful drivers I ever met.
Room was OK - everything worked - paid a bunch to get the room with a spa tub, but maybe worth it (great treat).
The stay was good only because we had not expected to use a lot of the facilities onther than the pool(s), which were fine.
LIKED the breakfast offering (choices and variety), but the food not that great (i.e. scrambled eggs & no toast).
It was a pleasant stay only because everything was clean - just old and run down looking.
The hotel is a good value for the price and every staff member I dealt with was pleasant and professional. However there is some confusion with $10 food/drink credit. You have to specifically ask for the vouchers at the front desk and then show proof on your phone that you paid the $10 service charge because they aren't able to see on their front desk computers that you were charged the $10 fee through booking.com.
Now the Ramada has been a staple of downtown Topeka since I can remember. I traveled home for my 20 year Hs reunion and a little business. The staff was excellent, the breakfast can’t be beat, loved my patio, and had a very good stay. It is getting older but out of all the hotels in my price range i loved it!
The lady at the desk stole from my room. And kicked me out in the middle of the night because she lied and said we smoked in the room. The room clearly had never been smoked in. She lied and entered my room when I was gone from the hotel and that's against the law. This hotel was the worst experience ever
The location was perfect for my needs and the price, compared to anywhere else in Topeka, was very good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I was fairly impressed with the room, as it was very modern and comfortable. Despite the things I didn't like, I would absolutely stay here again.
I loved the old time feel of the room. The balcony was amazing and the bed was SUPER comfortable. Once I did find my room it was comfortable and easy to relax in. There was a nice little nook with a table and chairs to sit and eat, and the room had an amazing view from the nice balcony.
I really enjoyed all the different area my family and I could sit and hang out at outside of our room. And the location was perfect. Close to everything for shopping and food! The room was spacious enough for my large family at a responsible nightly rate.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean and have full sized kitchen (minus the oven) Overall a great place to stay if you're going to be here for any length of time.
It was ok option when you travel by car from east coast to west. The hotel is a bit dated, but clean, and is fine for a single night. Breakfast included, comfy bed, not too noisy.
A/C broke. 95 degrees in room. Staff was rude. No sleep all night after a long day. Then, a month later no one has contacted me from either this hotel or Wyndham.
