We liked pretty much everything it was simple yet elegant, cozy, and spacious. Very calm, quiet and inviting. Great facilities and comfortable bed, overall very well thought out space and well designed. Great communication with owners, very polite and pleasant. Great for a weekend get away.

A spectacular little town in the mountains with great hotels, restaurants and a wonderful old, remodeled theater. Location to Pine Creek Rail Trail was ideal. The ice cream shop and the steak restaurant were two of our favorite stops.

The amenities are not all on site but available at a sister hotel about 2 blocks away. That included the hot breakfast during our stay.

Wellsboro's greatest feature is its proximity to the Pine Creek Canyon - with its Endless beauty, bike and horse paths, state parks, etc. Within the town itself are a number of shops and restaurants - some a bit pricey. Those who wish to travel the entire bike path, section by section, might also want to consider staying at the southern end by Jersey Shore and Williamsport.

This is a great town. Has a great sense of old Americana.
This is a great town. Has a great sense of old Americana. Gaslight street lights, split median on Main Street, great shopping area of not your ordinary stores. Great selections from bagels to diner car in town to not your everyday stores that were interesting. Nice thing was everything was within walking distance from hotel(s) and there was no need to find parking at the street level. Plenty of park benches on the street to sit and just take in the area. We came for the fall foliage at the local state park-Grand Canyon of the East. It didn't disappoint. A beautiful ride on 660 to the end destination of the park and a view that was awesome. We don't have the Grand Canyon size mountains, but they sure do have the Endless Mountains and it was just beautiful down there this year.

A welcomed step back in time.
A welcomed step back in time. Loved all the friendly people and greetings on the street from strangers. As if we weren't strangers at all.
Downside: many shops were closed when we visited there.
The beds and blankets were very comfortable. I had the best sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The pull out couch was also very comfortable. The room had lots of space and fit our needs perfectly. It was also very quiet. We didn't hear anything from the upper floors( we were on the 1st floor). The pool was clean and the provided towels were fresh and soft. The location was great with amenities right across the street(coffee shop, grocery store and pharmacy). Would definitely stay again!
Great location and the woman at the front desk was very helpful - recommended a great restaurant the second night - had a wonderful dinner at the Lounge in hotel the first night. Spent 4th of July weekend cycling the Pine Creek Rail Trail, which is only 7-8 mile drive from downtown Wellsboro, Pa. Great breakfast - gentleman serving breakfast was pleasant and very helpful. Staff as a whole were wonderful.
The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. They had a nice mini fridge and microwave in the room as well. The hotel is in a perfect area of town just a small drive to the PA Grand Canyon and many restaurants in downtown to eat at. Staying at this hotel we were offered discounts to select restaurants and stores which was also great!
It was a great stay. Marked down only for the cost as I think it was too expensive. I tried prior to our visit to request a better promotion rate but was declined...I should have looked around and did not know the event we went to would have had rooms saved for the party. Still it was a nice hotel and friendly service as well as a nice breakfast.
The breakfast was fine. It was consistent each day and a bit more than expected. The pool was enjoyable and the hotel was mostly quiet as we had hoped. The hotel is well located to access restaurants, stores, and the movie theater as well as churches.
It's a very old, historical hotel. Because of that, the room is small as is the bathroom, but it was very comfortable. It may not have had modern amenities, but the price was excellent and the location was too.
And the food was delicious!
The room exceeded my expectations...loved the gas fire place an separate bedroom from nice big living room kitchen combo...I do wellsboro a couple times a year.. the staff are great got to know a few...always use hotel or lodge...
Very clean, cheerful room, nice grounds - the pool is a plus, although I didn't take advantage of it this trip. My 4th visit to Wellsboro in past 6 years, 1st time I've stayed here - and I will definitely come again!
Location was near the main highways and close to shopping. Nice breakfast, with lots of choices. Cleaning staff was quick to wipe down tables. Hotel was very clean in all areas.
