Holiday Inn Express Roseburg, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Roseburg

The evening front desk staff member was excellent. He was able to come to our room and get the TV working which was greatly appreciated. The morning was disappointing. While staff was pleasant, the facility had a landscaping crew blowing in bark entirely too early. That was a big oversight from a customer service point of view.

We had a nice room , just inside the back (locking)door and a nice little patio , just outside our back door , overlooking the river. Patio had a private table and chairs at our room and several lounge chairs and tables closer to river . If it had not been 104 degrees , during our stay , we would have loved to spend more time out there . Deer wandered all around the area , foraging .

We went to wildlife safari. That was ok. All of the fast food restaurants had horrible rude employees and people are just not friendly. The only place that was nice was the roller skating rink. I don't recommend visiting there as people are rude.

This town is a dump, homeless everywhere, businesses shuttered, surly shopkeepers, religious zealots and hard right extremist. The one winery downtown advised us AT THE TASTING ROOM, that they "preferred people who bought bottles of wine". For two of us to taste mediocre wine it cost $30.00, too much to pay for a snooty and rude experience. I have tasted and bought wine in areas far and above Rosenberg and never been told that the winery only wanted people who would buy a case of wine and not mere tasters. Avoid Rosenberg unless you have to stop there because you are too tired to go further

Roseburg was an overnight stop for us.

Roseburg was an overnight stop for us. It’s a nice town with a few amenities. The Umpqua River is a beautiful river that meambers through the town and the hotel was very close to the river but no actual access to the river but a nice view from our balcony and even spotted an Eagle a couple times! We ate at Denny’s across the street which is typical Denny’s breakfast fare but their pancakes were very good! If we have need to stop in future travels we would stay at Riverfront Inn again . It was clean, comfortable beds and nice view of the River. For dog lovers there was a dog area .

found a chinese food restaurant - Chi's Garden Restaurant. They serve large portions and we had to take leftovers back to our room. Breakfast is good too. Won't go hungry before you leave. If you get a chance, try to go to the wildlife safari in Winston. We wanted to but we were traveling with a dog and you can't drive through with pets. Maybe our next trip we will do that.

The housekeeping staff needs a leader that knows what they're doing. The room next to us was rented out and the window was broken. According to the staff it had been broken for awhile. Spend $20 on each room, paint and caulking would go a long way!

I was just looking for a value room for a family trip from Portland to Roseburg for Wild Safari, but they exceeded my expectations. Check-in staff was excellent, offering before being asked extra towels and blankets for our son (using sofa bed). The breakfast with waffles was an added bonus, better than just some muffins like I expected. All the staff that I saw and interacted with were just superb. Next time we make a trip to Wild Safari I know where to stay.

Oregon is wonderful. The Roseburg Inn is an older place that's been updated. This means its one story so nobody is above you, and you park outside your door. Its in a great location, and management was really nice. Plus it has a microwave and oven! Also comfortable chairs and a table. TV reception was perfect. I slept very well and will stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently close to the freeway yet very quiet. The pool area has tables so we enjoyed our dinner outside. The pool/area was clean and warm. The gentleman that provided breakfast was helpful with some dietary needs and they even offer almond milk. We found everybody very friendly and willing to answer our questions.

I requested a quieter river view room at the back of the hotel & was assigned a front room at check in. Without hesitation, the front desk clerk found a back room. She, and every employee we encountered were friendly. The hotel was clean, comfortable, convenient, & reasonably priced

The hotel was nice and they offered breakfast and pool to be used despite many others hotels don't offer this during covid times to increase profits. Like that alot and the staff was very supportive and nice. Room was comfortable and spacy.
