It's a beautiful city.
It's a beautiful city. There is a lot to do if you are a traveller. Figure out their bus and metro stations, and you can get to anywhere except the mountains. Spend time understanding what you would like to do and accordingly get to the places. Exchange cash in local currency, almost everyone uses local money. YandexGo is a must for the beginning.

In Uzbek we need adopter to charge as our charger pin does not fit. Stay at Samarkand, bukhara, khiva & finally Tashkent city. Friendly & honest people. Clean city good weather. We enjoyed our stay in Uzbekistan. Prices of taxi water and food was pocket friendly. I couldn’t try horse meat, if you wish you can. Plov is good. Ice cream is good. Their art is nice.

Don't linger here, treat it as a transport hub, the city has lost what charm it had from the soviet times and is now full of ugly construction plots, soulless glass boxes, and honking cars. Also, the city is craaazily russified, it's just sad to see these bits of colonial rule still doing strong(
Just get out of here as soon as you can and explore the real charm of Uzbekistan elsewhere.

Every person in Tashkent goes out of the way to help you though the language is a barrier. If they see you need help they volunteer and come forward to help. Very friendly and hospitable locals. I would love to visit again for the cleanliness and the friendly attitude of the locals. The local cuisine was great.
Soviet legend! Located in the heart of Tashkent, this impressive hotel dominates the central Amir Temur Square. The hotel staff is very helpful and speaks very good English. Everything you need is available in the rooms. Breakfast tastes good and gives you strength for the day. Bar and restaurant on the 17th floor with wonderful views over the city. The hotel is undoubtedly in line with other Eastern Bloc classics such as the Cosmos in Chisinau, the Hotel Leningrad or the Slavija in Belgrade. I can highly recommend it!
It is very typical and luxurious place in Tashkent. The decorations and room are very nice. There are plenty of welcoming snacks and drinks in your room. The room is very typical and bed is confortable, bathroom is also exceptionally beautiful. The main entrance is like a picture from the art gallery. Outside of hotel is also very typical, nicely illuminated in the night. The staff is very nice, will help you with any questions and will recommend the best places to see in the city! highly recommended! :)
The hotel is very beautiful and has a nice location. It’s a short taxi ride from most of Tashkent’s attractions like Amir Tempe square and Independence square. The room was huge, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean.
The breakfast buffet was the best we had in Uzbekistan: wide variety of delicious dishes. We also ordered a pizza for room service and it’s was quite big.
Staff were very polite and helpful : talked to our app can drivers couple times to explain location.
I really liked the breakfast and the location was very comfortable to find. The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms and high quality service. Everything was perfect. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting to Tashkent
Everything that was written in previous comments is true. Rooms are new and clean, air conditioning works. Location is good. Staff is polite, no additional payments were charged. Additional bonus is a convenience store on the ground floor. Compare to other hotels during my stay in Uzbekistan, this is the best one. Price value ratio is perfect. And mattresses are top, haven't had like this in any other hotel there.
The staff are helpful and able to communicate in English. The room, lobby, toilet and everything were neat and clean. There were complementary toiletries in the bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable. I found their complementary breakfast the best one during my entire Uzbekistan tour. One of the other mentionable positive sides is, the hotel accepts card payment.
We liked this hotel so much the first time that we chose to go back to it on our return to Tashkent. Once again, clean, modern and a good breakfast. The young staff on reception are all very helpful and speak good English - and booked us a taxi to the south station at a much cheaper rate than we would have got by hiring one ourselves!
Excellent hotel, staff were friendly and attentive. Hotel is clean and modern. Room was large and bathroom was especially nice. Definitely the best room we had in Uzbekistan! Bed was really comfy and we had a great night's sleep. Breakfast buffet was really good. Would definitely recommend and we would stay again, thanks!
Europe Hotel is a great value for money. Excellent room conditions, super confortable bed and a very professional and attentive staff make of this hotel one of the best choices available in Tashkent. Special thanks to Mr. Uchgun who has shown great hospitality and communication skills, his Spanish is top notch!
Solid hostel. Nice clean bathrooms and showers. Very generous and impressive free breakfast. Good kitchen facilities. 20 minute walk to the main train station. Decent wifi. A little far from the center but there are cheap taxis and buses (use Yandex app for schedules). Would recommend for a stay in Tashkent.
I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Friendly and English speaking staff (Very rare in Uzbekistan from my experience). The room had everything you need with a very well built structure, did not feel cheap or squeaky. The location is good, not in the centre but you can easily get around Tashkent with taxi apps.
My best ever experience for staying in a very good hotel property. The Hotel Manager Mr. Shah is really thorough dedicated gentleman and he is making sure the successful business journey in Tashkent Uzbekistan. I will highly recommend the hotel to local and international travelers.
Ateca hotel was the best hotel in all aspect during our two week trip in Uzbekistan.
The room was large with modern facilities.
Breakfast was also top notch with tasty hot items in addition to usual spread. All the staff we interacted with were courteous and pleasant.
This is a historic building and staying there was like a time traveller to the history of 1970’s and 80’s. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. A short bus tour of Tashkent starts just in front of the Uzbekistan hotel.
The best hotel in Tashkent - and great value for money! Excellent service, staff, food and super cozy rooftop bar! Highly recommended for everyone experiencing Tashkent, both for business and leisure!
The best hotel I stayed at in Uzbekistan.
Staff went extra miles to help. The breakfast normally starts at 7am, but the owner made it possible for us to have breakfast at 6:30am. Much appreciated!
