This is the place to come to relax. The staff was fantastic, kind, and responsive. We were fortunate to use the pool and found it to be refreshing. If you’re in the area of Rocamadour, you should check out this place. Bon Jour
Calès is a sleepy town, off the beaten track. If you came for all the bells & whistles of a touristie town you have come to the wrong place. If you came to rest & refill your batteries then you're in the right place. Easy hiking. FANTASTIC nature, not far away from Rocmadour & 15 minutes away from other ammenities. I have poor health & Fiona readily organized me a doctor's appointment 15 minutes drive away. You will need a car however to get around. Don't drink too much when driving at night, it will not serve you well... We are down to earth people & enjoy nature - that is what this place is all about!! No shopping for another piece of rag that you are not going to wear, or ornaments "made in China" crap. The momentoes you are going to take back is excellent cuisine & fantastic memories.

Good base to visit the Grotto caves, Rocamadour, and surrounding area - stunning scenery, unspoilt villages, local produce available. There is a restaurant in Cales, but I did not eat there, rather buying local food and enjoying it in the garden at Moulin de Latreille.

Calès as a town is quite nice, if diminutive.
Calès as a town is quite nice, if diminutive. Not much to do there in terms of entertainment, for that you'll have to go to something bigger.
The food at Le Petit Relais is really good, but a bit on the expensive side; no alternatives exist locally.
You can reach a lot of the sightseeing locations of the region quite quickly from here, if that is what you want, so you might want to stay here as a base camp to explore the region, but ultimately Calès is probably a more nature lover's location than anything else.
We enjoyed so very much our stay in Les Estoiles des Cales. Totally sweet and kind hosts - made us feel so very wellcome. Super facilities - very clean and nice room - house - garden and all. Super breakfast including homemade bread and more. Calm place - great area. Thank you very much Dominique and Pasqual.
A pretty little hotel in a beautiful isolated village. It’s the only bar/ restaurant in the village and we had a delicious evening meal outside after a long day cycling. It had everything one would want in the room including a fan and a lovely pool outside.
Lovely spot in picturesque village of Cales. Excellent breakfast. Dinner served outside, weather permitting, very enjoyable. Room was comfortable, no Aircon but shutters worked very well. Car parking just round the corner.
