Very peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Charmingly rustic with a copse of fine trees, singing birds and distant lowing cows... Not overcrowded - ie. not too many units. Very handy location for Tanunda and Angaston. Comfortable accommodation. Functional air conditioning important as it was very hot.

Lyndoch is a great little town with lots to see and do.
Lyndoch is a great little town with lots to see and do. A trip to the tourist information centre is a must before you begin. The staff at the place I was staying, were most helpful and informative. They were able to assist in providing information about special deals at places to see while I was visiting. Two for one lunch meals, drink specials, days tours of wineries and the list goes on. Helped me to save so I could do and see more. Lyndoch is a great place and I highly recommend to stay when touring the Barossa of South Australia.

The hotel was clean and while it wasn’t luxurious, it had everything one needs for overnight stays. We only had to walk a dozen steps to get into the dining room/bar. Nice and quiet and good value for money

This property is almost impossible to be found when you arrive late at night in the pitch dark. The signs are dark and are unable to be seen from the road. The Merlot House is a modern country home with all the facilities you would expect in a functioning home, Nearby is an excellent restaurant. Great food and great staff. Very enjoyable stay amongst the woodland birds and vineyards. Lyndoch, a small country town in South Australia's Barossa Valley is just a 3 minute drive away. The Barossa is the home of wines of worldwide acclaim. Overall, an excellent stay and I will be staying again at the wonderful prices.

Very well equiped accommodation with modern facilities. Able to wander around the farm, see cows being milked etc. Provided with almost all of the food from his own farm, to self prepare, incl eggs, bacon, best sausages and butter ever, bread, oyster mushrooms, buttermilk, etc. etc. Also has more to sell to take home.Even though travelled for work, I felt refreshed and recharged upon leaving.
