Jelena was so nice and made us feel at home! She brought a bit of cake and welcome drinks after we arrived, which was such a special touch! The property is very close to Plitvice Lakes N.P., and was very close to a market where we were able to pick up snacks and food to make ourselves dinner after leaving the park. The balcony was great for a relaxing drink in the countryside! My 8 year old loved that there were a few toys around and spent time on the swing set trying to make friends with an adorable cat. Hot water and great water pressure in the shower were a nice bonus!

Great location, quiet and easy to find. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. The stairs to the bedroom are actually a bit wider than some others, so moving luggage upstairs is not too bad. Everything was just as advertised.

Very nice owner and already prepared the heating for us when we arrived, her parents live downstairs, cooked pancakes for us in the morning which is very sweet and warm. The location is near the national park and in the beautiful and quiet village with very good price. There’s everything you need for cooking and living, even just for one night.

The family running this beautiful stay was absolutely stunning. They have four generations staying on this homestead, and they are beyond kind, accommodating, and easy to talk to with so much rich, personal history. I wish we had more time to converse with them. The location was perfect, you really feel completely immersed in the nature, and true local life in the hills. It is peaceful , quiet, traditional, and all around amazing So close to everything you want to experience in the area. If you love nature, and truly appreciate and want to experience authentic life in the hills if Croatia, this is for you.

We stayed here primarily to visit Plitvice national park but the area was beautiful, a complete contrast to the Croatian coastline. It felt very Austrian in influence with chalet style houses, lots of green countryside and flowers. It was also a lot cheaper to eat out and buy coffees/ice creams than on the coast. Plitvice was incredible (although v hot and busy in August). I would like to go back at a quieter time as there were long queues to get on the boats which was not ideal in the heat with children. It was a shame that there is nowhere you are allowed to swim as we would have enjoyed the opportunity to cool off!SarahUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

A great location to get active.
A great location to get active. We did kayaking on the upper river Mreznica - Slunj, which was wonderful. We did this through the Hotel Mirjana&Rastoke, and they were excellent guides. Nice place, there's caves nearby and Plitvice national park to see. There's also a small, cute town Rastoke nearby. The people are very friendly. There are a lot of small shops but not many souvenir shops are open during the winter time. We really enjoyed walking through Rastoke with our dogs (there's even a dog beach there), the food in rastoke was amazing! We ate at "Kum". National park Plitvice is a must-see, we recommend visiting during the week, since weekends are quite busy and if you're with dogs, it's a bit tiresome to move through guided groups/crowds.EmaBosnjakovicSlovenia - 10Scored 10
We found numerous places of interest around.
We found numerous places of interest around. From Slunj and the fab restaurant (Petra) by the waterfalls, to the Plitivitc world heritage park, bat caves and scenery. Whilst we didnt travel with children there were plenty of things for families in the locality for all ages. Locals all very friendly and helpful. All linked by a good road system and markings. The only disappointment was the zip slide that was closed when we visited.

The facility is quite luxurious and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was pleasant and the staff friendly. Great location in Rakovica - the national park is 15 minutes in one direction and Slunj/Rastoke old town is 20 minutes in the other direction (the location of the kayaking the Mreznica River tour). For an inexpensive and fun meal, try the Street Food cafe in Rakovica - great hamburgers and fries!

It was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. There us a table to sit outside and whilst not a beautiful view, it just felt relaxed and comfortable for our one night. It is close to the supermarket in Rakovica and on the way towards the Barac caves. A really beautiful area. They very kindly let us arrive early and even brought us a plate of delicious pancakes!!
