There are no words to explain what staying at Hare Nua Boutique Hotel was....but I will try. This is one of the best destinations and best hotels I have ever stayed at. It is not about how comfortable the room was, which it was. It is not about how good the breakfast was, which it was. It is not about how professional they were...Hare Nua is all that you expect of a good hotel, but what makes it stand out from the rest is the feeling of community that they bring. The welcome with flowers and local desserts, how the staff tells you about how they live their culture and invite you to be a part of it. They are problem-solvers too, when we had a mixup with one of the shows, they helped us book it and gave us an amazing experience for me and my mom. Being gifted with a Moai protector as we said farewell was such a special detail too. This hotel is the right decision. Iorana e Maururu Hare Nua.

Our stay at the Pikera Uri Eco Lodge was fantastic! We were collected from the airport, and when we arrived the check-in process was really easy. Suggestions were made about car hire and the tours available. The room was well appointed, and the breakfast was amazing! The 15 minutes' walk along the coast into the town was superb. Such a beautiful backdrop to a great few days!

Easter Island is a very special place. The history and culture are really remarkable, and the Moai are amazing. It is a long journey to get there, but it certainly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The trip was unique and special, there is lots to do and see. If you like hiking there are some cool spots. The Maio's are special and worth visiting. I would suggest hiring a car to get around and a guide to see the attractions.

CONS:
- Too much of a "money-grab" was our experience.
CONS:
- Too much of a "money-grab" was our experience. Felt like we were looked at like "walking dollars".
- Over-priced EVERYTHING. I know it's a remote island, but seriously!
- Too often, the card machines were "not working", so they wanted cash. We would walk away and return a few minutes later or longer, wait until we see a local use a credit card, and then make our purchase.
- TOO MANY LOOSE DOGS!! Their excrement is everywhere, many are in poor health. One followed us from waterfront to our hotel, and we had to fend off 40+ other dogs (no exaggeration) that got aggressive. We fed and watered this skinny dog, and walked it back to the waterfront area where "it found us" when we went back out in the afternoon.
- Basically two beaches where you can swim - but in reality, one. And it's 18km away from the populated side of the island.
- Many dusty roads driven by aggressive drivers.
PROS:
- The island is beautiful!
- A few nice hikes.

There are many great restaurants, especially if you like the fish food!
Those moais are magical and sunrise tour is must!
Some things are very expensive there in Easter Island, example
renting a bike is 25€/24h !
I understand that some things in so isolated place is more expensive, but I think they have cartel in some business. Maybe they all don't understand that even they want to avoid the competition with each other, they will still have that competition with other vacation places. If people think it's too expensive, they go somewhere else.

You need to have interest in the history of the island.
You need to have interest in the history of the island. Showing up for a "resort style vacation" would be the wrong reason to go. We did a lot of homework and it was almost emotional to be there, especially after the island was run into the ground by greed.... You do need a guide to enter the parks. Sunscreen and water is your friend. You can stamp your passport, but not open on weekends.

I read on the internet:-
1. You could buy your ticket (USD80) for the National park at the airport. This is no longer the case. You have to buy your entry ticket in town.
2. Also, you could get your passport stamped with an Easter Island stamp at the post office. This is no longer the case. Go to the tourist information in town (sea front).
I loved this place!!!! The food every morning was excellent!!!! The room was air conditioned which you need so badly in the afternoon. The beds were comfortable. It was literally right next door to the best restaurant on the island. You could see the statues, the ocean, and the sunset from your back porch. It was wonderful!!!! The staff was first rate. They didn’t speak a whole lot of English but they tried so hard and were so sweet. If you are looking for a great place to stay on Rapa Nui, you absolutely can not beat this one!!!!
Location of the hotel is in the Taha district where most of the restaurants and other shops are so the location was great. The hotel restaurant was wonderful, spacious and a great view of the ocean. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast options was good, but maybe not so if you are a vegetarian. My room was large enough for a single traveller but perhaps the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. The setting of the hotel is lovely with the palm trees and closeness to the ocean.
This hotel is amazing, the property is very nice, it is very well situated and most of all the people that work there are really helpful and nice. It's very close to the ocean, actually I had a partial view of it from my bed, the breakfast is one of the most complete, the pool is very nice also. But you simply don't need to spend time at the hotel on this small, but amazing island so as I comment below I believe the pricing was unreasonably high. Otherwise everything is just perfect.
I loved everything about my stay at Hotel La Perouse! The service was impeccable and Paula was friendly, caring, and super helpful with anything I could have possibly needed. The hotel itself is close to everything (although I guess most things are close together :)) but it was truly the best spot to explore Hanga Roa and the greater Rapa Nui.
As a solo female traveler I wanted to find a spot that felt safe and comfortable - hotel La Perouse is the perfect place for that!
Comfortable bed, spacious room with all amenities you need. Top location, centrally located and close to bars and restaurants. I can warmly recommend the cevicheria on the opposite site of the hotel. The staff is the best value of this family-run hotel - they were really great, so helpful and attentive.
Thank you Yvonne & Alejandro for making our trip to Rapa Nui a wonderful experience. I hope we can come back again some day. Maururu from Bulgaria :)
+ Room had a nice view over the garden down to the sea.
+ Garden area is like being in paradise: lots of flowers, chickens free roaming the garden and small geckos.
+ Lovely pool though small.
+ Staff very friendly.
+ Food offered by the restaurant is good.
+ Breakfast buffet above Chilean standard incl. nice cheese board; custom egg dishes available on demand.
+ Room has air conditioning.
+ Transfer from and to the hotel is included.
Friendly welcome at the airport and hotel. The location was good, still walkable distance to the town but quiet at night (i.e. almost no dog noise). The hotel is new and our room was spacious with a nice balcony and furniture. The staff were very friendly and organised a knowledgeable private guide for us who showed us the main sites in one day. We didn't have time to use the pool but it seemed a nice area.
We loved our stay here! Ximena was so helpful and went out of her way to make our visit comfortable. The unit was lovely, the bed was comfy, the gardens are beautiful, and it was about a 15 minute stroll into downtown Hanga Roa. There's a little minimarket right next door to get groceries, or a coffee or ice cream, which are great when you're swinging on the hammocks in the garden. Strong wi-fi too.
The convenient location includes free pick-up/drop-off with the airport minutes away.
The kitchen was large and had everything you need to cook for yourself. You also get your own personal box of kitchenware!
The magic of the island exists in this hostel. I met such wonderful people here.
Rapa Nui can be dizzyingly expensive, but what you get for the price of this accommodation is unbelievable.
Rooms, pool, food and staff were excellent. We had an ocean view room with a patio that was very tranquil yet a short walk to town. Even though there were many restaurants in town we chose to eat dinner at the hotel each night because the food was so fresh and delicious. The best part of the hotel though was the friendly and helpful staff. It is a bit pricey but well worth it!
Great central location in town. Alex is half Rapa Nui and spoke great English (as well as Spanish, French and Rapa Nui). With all the recent changes to visiting the National Park, he was able to provide us tours and explain the history of the island. The stay included a simple, but pleasant breakfast. The staff was very friendly and spoke English, too.
The Staff was incredible and went above and beyond. Weeks before the trip the staff provided helpful tips for entering Rapa Nui and also found a guide to tour me around the island. The property was very well kept, and the location was perfect for walking into town or just getting around. Would stay here again without a doubt.
This was a great place to stay. The air conditioned rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and the hotel is centrally located making it easy to walk to most places. The office staff was very helpful, they arranged a tour of the island and a dinner show for us. This was a very enjoyable stay.
The best part about this property was the staff. They are AMAZING. They don't treat you like hotel guest. They treat you like family. The service is very personal and they are so nice and friendly. They interact with you beyond check-in. They are real people and treat you like a real person
The caban is very beautiful and quiet. We loved the location, near Hanga Roa but in a quiet place with amazing view. The porch is lovely, great having breakfast there every morning.
We were very well welcomed by Rosi and her son.
Amazing stay!
It is a wonderful place to stay! Kori is a very friendly and helpful host. I highly recommend him and his hotel to every traveller to Rapa Nui.
Maururu/Muchas gracias/Thanks a lot, dear Kori!
Great hotel with perfect location and facilities! Great helpful staff! I loved my stay there. Hotel also provides private tours with the best guide 😊 Highly recommended!
The hotel was very comfortable, conveniently located with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We felt like family.
