The customer service was wonderful. We were greeted with a warm towel and champagne. They really made us feel like if there was anything we needed to let them know. The hotel itself is located in the cutest little Bavarian mountain town. We ate at the hotel and we were not disappointed, the chicken and veggies were delicious! We didn't eat breakfast because we felt it was a bit pricey so we ventured into town for that. But the location is nice because it's within walking distance of two backerei and only a 5 mins drive to the waffle house.
The 4-star superior hotel has been family-run since 1634 and offers an indoor swimming pool, various saunas, steam baths, a children's playground and a cozy lounge.

Just an overall fantastic experience. The hotel is already in a beautiful location on the pond, then add in the clean rooms and building and many amenities and friendly staff and this was an unparalleled experience for relaxing and enjoying nature and the best of German Bavaria. My room was over the restaurant and it was enjoyable even when the restaurant was crowded and I was enjoying the balcony. Trails into the hills and down to town start right there at the pond.

The food was very good and the property itself is beautiful. Great amenities. Unfortunately, the poor service and scary situation that no one was able to help with, overshadowed anything else positive that I have to say.

Marco and Theresa run this place with an eye for service and quality. The food (we booked half board) was excellent every day, and they'd drop us at the piste and pick us up again every day because the snow conditions didn't allow ski in, ski out. One day, we needed to be somewhere early for lessons, and Marco took us to a hard to reach spot on his tracked quad. It's a lovely place on the mountain with fresh eggs every morning from their own chickens.

Centrally located hotel with modern rooms (we stayed in a deluxe double room). Additional requests like crib and windows to the inner yard have been fulfilled with no questions.
Good spa facilities for adults with 3 types of saunas. A separate room with a 10m swimming pool. Nice restaurant with good level of food quality and big portions, so half board was worth it besides our first evening, which was Sunday when only salad bar was available.
Overall, the hotel matched our expectations, and we had a good time as a family.

At the foot of Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is one of the country’s top ski resorts. The Bavarian style of its Alpine chalets includes beautiful flowers lining every balcony, and colourful frescoes adorning the outsides of houses.
The varied skiing and snowboarding in the surrounding Alps is based mainly on blue and red runs. To ski on the Zugspitze glacier you take a train up to the mountain then a cable car down to the slopes. The summit itself offers magnificent views of the valleys below, provided you’re lucky enough to get a break in the clouds.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a former host of the Winter Olympics and the World Alpine Ski Championships. It also has a ski jump that forms part of the world cup of that sport. In summer hiking is the most popular activity and a lengthy route leads up to King’s House on Schachen, a supposed castle that looks more like a house.
It was built for Ludwig II, the eccentric king behind the region’s most impressive castle – Neuschwanstein to the north-west of Garmisch. The road between them passes by Oberammergau, famous for its 10-yearly Passion Plays.

This is our third trip to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and we still love it. The Mountain views are incredible! We like the area, because of its central location. It’s a good launching pad for Neuschwanstein Castle, the Zugspitze, and the Biergarten Alpenblick in Uffing. The town is quaint, yet lively! Many restaurants have live music, and one evening there was a really good street band making their way up and down Ludwigstraße. It’s a beautiful little town!

The town was very pleasant, clean, and had many local shops with handmade products. The whole town shut down at 9pm except a bar so do not expect to find any late night brauhaus or restaurants. I would recommend visiting the town during the winter season for outdoor scenery and activites.

We spent a week in GAP at the end of the winter season.
We spent a week in GAP at the end of the winter season. The weather was warm, but skiing opportunities were just perfect at the Zugspitze which is over 2500m high. From GAP, the train takes you to Munich in an hour, so you can enjoy a big city atmosphere and related activities once you get bored from skiing. By car, you need an hour to reach the most visited tourist attraction in Germany - Neuschwanstein castle. Overall GAP is a cool location for both summer and winter time.

What a lovely area, I want to move here. Such beautiful scenery, mountains for great hikes and lovely people.
It’s also an ok place for skiing, the slopes aren’t super long or the resorts not very fancy but it could be a great place to learn the sport.

There is nothing not to like about this place. There is so much attention to detail in everything they are doing and that's obvious in every corner. From the very cozy lobby and breakfast/dinner room to all other facilities such a variety of saunas and pools with great views, everything was great.
The quality of the food is one of the highlights as well and the overall service is beyond expectations.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a stunning little town and also a very convenient location to expore the magnificent surroundings.
Fantastic hotel. One of the best I've been to. Friendly service, both upon arrival and at breakfast. The room was not spacious, but very well laid out, I especially liked the built-in sofa bed with a shelf along the entire length, comfortable. The view from the balcony to the mountains in the distance was great! Enjoy! The spa area was open until 8PM, but the pool could also be used at other times. It was very nice, because we often came back later from trips.
Beautiful hotel and decor in the all the common indoor and outdoor areas. Awesome rooftop area with stunning views. Also a pool and spa up there. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Great location next to park and easy walk into town. There was construction going on around the hotel but didn't hear any noise. I would definitely recommend staying here, there are cheaper options in the area but it's worth the splurge!
Location was perfect for visiting zugspitze or the Garmisch-Partenkirchen gorge. Staff spoke very good English and explained eveyrthing very well upon arrival. Desk was staffed 24 hours. Parking was avaible for purchase and very convenient. Facilities and amenities was great with a drink bar, Sauna, and free breakfast as well as lounge areas. Room was as pictured, well decorated, and had multiple lighting and storage options.
The property is located right next to a small lake with a beautiful mountain view, a few km away from the actual Garmisch-Partenkirchen town. The staff was lovely and always helpful - with a special shout-out to the bartenders who were attentive, funny and endlessly patient when serving 50 people at once. The property is clean and most rooms are renovated but it’s still a very classic/old Bavarian style property.
My stay at the Hyperion was terrific - the manager and Isabell who worked the reception desk were so helpful, friendly and kind. The hotel is only about 5 minutes walk away from the old town and has fantastic views of the Zugspitze mountain. Breakfast is a vast and superb buffet and there are coffee making facilities in the room (Tschibo/Nespresso type machine). Highly recommended.
The breakfast at the hotel was really good (Covid regulations were followed). The view from the terrace is amazing - the Zugspitze is visible on a clear day. The garden is another plus - a beautiful place to relax after an active day. The hotel is a short walk away from the town centre and has secure parking facilities. The room was small but comfortable.
Very friendly and compassionate staff. Was sick for most of my stay, so I got to have a lovely look at the accomodation! All was fairly new and properly stocked. Great spot in the city (next to the train station and in the center of Garmisch-Partenkirchen). And thankfully there was a nice coffee machine!!
- fantastic location: Mountain Views from the bedroom, easy walk around the town to restaurants / beer gardens / shops
- convenient location to Eibsee/ Zugspitze
- very helpful and kind staff
- great beer garden/ restaurant attached to the hotel that attracts many visitors (not just hotel guests).
The excellent location on the station square is convenient for those who arrived by public transport. The room was spacious, we had a room for three, all had full beds. The biggest plus is that you can bring a dog to the hotel, our dog appreciated the hospitality. A wonderful breakfast.
Our room price included a five-course dinner in the hotel restaurant. The quality of the kitchen exceeded our expectations. Excellent dinner, friendly staff who noted the birthday of my wife, good value for money. Our room was recently renovated. Nice experience!
We' stayed in the appartment #9. It was clean, good location - appr. 20 minutes from the centre of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Free parking place. I liked the system of passing the key (via small post box at the entrance, with a PIN, which you receive per e-mail)
The breakfast was excellent. The room was very comfortable and spacious, and the balcony offered a great view of the mountains. The location was excellent in historic Garmisch, which is surrounded by shops and restaurants walking distance from the hotel.
Location, accommodation and restaurant are top notch! Located in the historical center of Partenkirchen, it's close to everything. Everyone from the hotel basically make you feel at home. Definitely a RECOMMEND.
everything is new and well taken care off, hotel staff super helpful with all the information provided, breakfast is good, near to Lidl and walkable to zugspitze bahn or base of garmisch for skiing
The hotel is just perfect. From the staff, the facility, the breakfast, and the refills of the "free" (yes I said "free") mini bar, I just can't say enough good things.
Nice hotel with parking lot in rear; very clean indoor pool with sauna. Superb location, great breakfast and friendly staff. Loved the balcony on our room.
