Very dog friendly. The hotel checkin had dog treats and lots of grassy areas for pet relief with dog bags and pail. It was close to the private beach, heavenly village, and casinos. We walked everywhere. Free parking was great too.

South lake Tahoe is a nice place to visit.
South lake Tahoe is a nice place to visit. I love the fresh air and the smell of the Sierras. The restaurants are okay, they try to make you think that they have all this amazing dining experiences, but they're just pretty much mediocre everywhere you go.

It's very difficult to figure out where to go to play in the snow & parking is a nightmare wherever you go. Traffic is bad. The casinos don't even try to entertain you or tease you. The slots just take your money without even stringing you along. The slots totally sucked, especially compared to Indian casinos & that includes all the casinos in South Lake, as well as North Lake.

Wow, haven't been to South Lake Tahoe in about 6-8 years and what a HUGE difference. It's become more commercialized and not as "homey" as it once felt. A lot of the older establishments are out of business with new stuff and construction taking over. The mom and pop restaurants we went to were pretty bad. It's gone down for charm, but up for convenience. Great groceries. Whole Foods, Safeway, Grocery Outlet... few bakeries, but we were shocked at the prices. $4.25 for a bear claw pastry! Still, it's beautiful and still worth the trip. Heavenly ski resort now requires reservations for parking on the weekends. They charge for cars with less than 3 people.

The hotel itself is very old, but exceptionally clean. We needed to sleep 6, so picked this hotel because it would do the trick.
We didn't expect a separate room for one of the queen beds, which was really a nice surprise. Additionally, we didn't expect a kitchen, which was also nice. It was located just off the main road running through downtown South Lake Tahoe, so very convenient.
The overall experience was great. The staff were friendly and the amenities like S'mores at night and jacuzzi was perfect addition to the stay. Our building was a little off to the side and the construction going on during the stay was a bit disruptive. However, for the price and the quality, this hotel is definitely good.
Great hotel. Perfect location, the Gondola is a 5 minute walk and the nightlife and casinos are a short walk away, but not disturbing the hotel. They let me leave my car there all day after checking out while I hit the slopes. Really nice staff. Warm cozy room despite the outside door. The welcome drink was a nice bonus.
Room: Clean, Beds were comfortable.
Location: You don't have to take the car out (took out only for Zephyr Cove and Emerald bay). Beach, downtown, Heavenly Gondola, Casinos.. are walkable.
Breakfast: Good options - Coffee, muffin, sandwich, cereals, oats & fruits
I love that it's all brand new and very clean. They even had snacks, water, soda and a few goodies (sunscreen, sunglasses and a backpack)! It's in a fantastic location! Walkable to downtown and casinos and Harvey's outdoor theater! Would stay there again!
Stunning lodge just a short walk from South Lake Tahoe. We upgraded to the cabin which we felt was worth it. The staff were fantastic and the grounds are lovely. It’s a 30 min drive to the east side of the lake with crystal clear waters
I like the location, we were close to all the action in Heavenly Village and the casinos in the Nevada side. I also enjoyed the continental breakfast and coffee. Love that Bagel machine, I was able to toast my Bagels extra crispy.
Reasonable price and the location is close to several restaurants and shopping. It is close to the Nevada state line and was within walking distance of casinos. This is an older motel that has been upgraded. The owner is nice.
The staffs was very friendly and gave us really good recommendations where should we visit and the hotel room with a view was terrific. Nothing to complain at all. I definitely recommend everyone to stay there !!
A high standard of cleanliness throughout the room and the hotel. The staff are friendly and could not help us enough! The location? Perfect for access to the lake, boat trips, and the local amenities.
The property is located in the perfect spot. Its within walking distance to the private beach, Heavenly and Nevada casinos. The rooms are always clean. My family and friends really enjoy staying here.
location, location, location!! Walking distance to Heavenly Village and casinos. The hotel is slightly dated but the room was comfortable. I had a one bedroom suite, it was like an apartment. Spacious!
Location is great. Right next to Stateline. Can walk to Harveys and Harrahs casinos. Cafes and diners all over area.
It is the best budget hotel at South Lake Tahoe IMHO. Averaged about 75 per day
