Hands down the best stay in our three-week tour of Europe. The staff was amazing. The food was beyond amazing. The beds were comfortable. All of our calls were answered with helpful directions and flexibility. I really can't say it more clearly, if you are reading this review and wondering if you should stay in this little gem off the beaten path, let me assure you. You should stay here. And if you stay here, you should most definitely eat here. In fact, the eating there is the best part. If you look at the website, it seems like so many restaurants in Italy. But, oh man, it is so much better. Everything is made fresh on-site, and sourced locally. Like, farmer dude next door locally. And every single thing we were served was better than the last. What translates essentially to vegetable meatloaf gave me a raised eyebrow. As an American, I was a little leery. But holy cow, it was amazing. These little warm breadballs were delivered to the table. Just bread, like so many restaurants in the US you would think, right? Oh dear gawd, I have never had light fluffy bread just melt in my mouth so deliciously. Every course delivered a new surprise. Fresh mushrooms picked that day? Sure! Beer brewed locally? Absolutely! And Nicolas (I think that was his name, the owner of the place) took time to describe what we were eating and where it came from. I mean, this was gourmet-level stuff for prices less than we'd pay in downtown Genoa.

Excellent home-like stay experience, with wonderful hosts and very personal touch and attention from the owners. It was definitely way more than we expected. We were treated with (exceptionally tasty) home-made lasagna and red wine.
Prepare for around 30 minutes drive from the highway, BUT the views are scenic! Something reminiscent of Rio and Iceland...The property has a big natural garden, very pleasant to stay in and relax. In some 30-40 minutes one can reach Genova by car and explore Eastern and Western coasts. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back for our next stay in Liguria.
P.S. we only missed an electric tea kettle in the apartment, would be nice to add (maybe we could not find it...) :)

Breakfast quite good choices and assortment. Reception staff friendly. Quiet in spite of closiness to main road.
Very convenient location for stopover. Close to exit motorway. It's a family owned hotel the owner is very welcoming. The food is great !!!!! Almost everything is homemade. We had excellent pasta with pesto, fried anchovis and a great dessert. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Yes, you hear the traffic on the motorway but if that bothers you you should look for a stopover further away from the motorway. All in all excellent value for money.
