Le Ville Relais, Hotel Nella, and Hotel Venezia got great room view-related reviews from travelers in La Spezia.
A lot of people don't realise that chica terra is a region not just one town there are 5 towns connected by very winding roads but there is a great rail service that connects them all and it runs between them about every 15 min . There is a local pasta you must try pasta with pesto .
Stayed in La Spezia while visiting Cinque Terre, so did not get to see much of it. Area near the train station was busy and a bit noisy but felt safe and vibrant. Pedestrian street near-by, full of cafes and restaurants.
We stopped in the city of La Spezia to visit the Cinque Terre. However, as it turned out, La Spezia itself deserves no less attention! The Maritime Museum in La Spezia (Museo Navale) is a must-see for everyone! It's a lovely, pleasant, old Italian small town that's nice to stroll around at leisure.
It is neither an interesting nor a nice city. I could not even find a supermarket downtown, just some small grocery stores where you can not even find fresh milk - only canned one :-( Take L P. just as your base camp for visiting the 5T.
Busy city - not an obvious tourist spot although easy to get to many places such as Cinque Terre. If we went to the area again we would go to somewhere more calm. Lots of good places however easy to reach using public transport which would have been difficult if elsewhere. We had a car however which was a bit of a pain, especially as it is big with a roof-box and bicycles on eth back. A small care would have been much easier.
La Spezia itself not that much to be seen, but a very good hosting location to those that will take a day trip journey to 5Terre. This is a must go - you can choose between train (cheaper) or boat (more beautiful), full day trip spending 1-2hs in each of the 5 small villages. Each one different from the other, make your choice on which you like most after visiting them all. One point of attention though: this could be a exhausting day for young children and/or also for you if you have children caddies...
La Spezia
We were shocked at how nice these rooms were! My two kids and I were traveling by train and used this hotel as a base from which to explore cinque terre. The rooms were spotless, modern, and comfortable and the owner was wonderful at communicating via WhatsApp. The hotel was truly only about 3 minutes from the train station and about the same distance from a tourist street with many restaurants. Despite that, we did not have any train noise or noise from restaurants, and I am a very light sleeper. Would definitely stay here again!
La Spezia
This hotel is beautiful the host Daniella was very kind and organised she would always message us to make sure we had everything that was needed and if we needed anything else fresh cold water was left in our fridge every night which was very nice of her as we was not expecting it ,I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay in la Spezia the hotel is located right next to the train station which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and next to plenty of restaurants

Amazingly beautiful room and facilities. Like staying in a 5 star hotel! Location was a short walking distance from the train station, and right in the center of town. Wonderful pedestrian streets nearby, with lovely shopping, restaurants, coffee shops etc. A perfect place to enjoy all that La Spezia has to offer, and just a short walk to the train station to visit the cinque terre! Definitely recommend and will stay here again the next time I am in town.
La Spezia
Nice house high up on a hill in the countryside overlooking La Spezia with a very friendly host who speaks good English if you're Italian isn't too good. Rustic feel and accommodation clean and with heating Bedding (blankets) and quite basic room compared to other similar standard accommodation we stayed at in Italy Only stayed one night in October but the outside areas appeared good for summer stays Free parking outside property
La Spezia
The location was terrific, right where you want to be if you want to enjoy the dining, strolling in La Spezia. The flat was really top-notch furnishings, tasteful and stylish...although the kitchen is minimal (but why use a kitchen when visiting Italy anyways?). Our contact was helpful and really went out of his way to help out with parking, getting settled, etc. Fans and air conditioning, which are nice options in Liguria in July.
La Spezia
The little hotel is driven by a wonderful woman, the rooms, very spacey, are totally new and beautifully decorated. Perfect bed and perfect bathroom. Outside a well kept garden with pool. The most amazing breakfast, where the hosts bakes fantastic bread and cakes for the guests every morning. The hotel is placed on a hill from which one can see a powerful view over La Spezia harbour.
Perfect location. La Spezia isn't the most beautiful city in Italy by a longshot, but the hotel is in the nicest area and is just five minutes by foot from the train station... making it absolutely ideal for taking the extremely convenient train to visit the Cinque Terre. The hotel itself is modern, clean, calm and staffed by rather extraordinarily nice staff.
The location was excellent about 10 min walk from the train station and right in the heart of the pedestrian zone with plenty of shops and restaurants around. The hotel restaurant and breakfast area was absolutely adorable in the garden. The room was immaculate and the shower was large and had excellent water pressure.
La Spezia

Very good place. We were lucky to find parking space in front of the hotel. You should take into consideration that you are travelling to Italy. It is not easy to park the car:). Very nice, clean room. Close to central station which took you fast to 5terre.
La Spezia
Cleanliness, location, and room facility are just really great! I dont know about the beds though, it seems like in many hotels in Italy do not have a very soft bed rather slightly hard. So maybe it was just me who are used to soft beds
La Spezia
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Alessandro was really helpful and welcoming. He gave us some advice for restaurant and was always available when needed help. He also added on bed for our little girl. Thank you Alessandro!

Very luxury and clean. The room seemed very new, great interior and good quality materials. If that would be a hotel, I would give 5 stars. The host was very helpful and ready to answer any question.
