The location is perfect! the room is clean and comfortable. I loved that the room was cleaned each day. The sheets are crisp and so clean. The shower is small but great. There are many steps to the room so if you do not do them well, don’t stay here. We were able to leave our bags while we went to Monarola on checkout day. The staff is pleasant. Air conditioning was a good thing! Many good places to eat nearby. I would highly recommend this place.

Hotel Due Gemelli is set among pines and vineyards, on a hill overlooking Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre.
We had a very nice room with a huge balcony facing the sea. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and the room looked like it had been recently refurbished so it was in excellent condition. The hotel is not in the center of Riomaggiore, but up the mountain a bit — which we really enjoyed because it was quiet and calm. And it’s really easy to get to the center because there is a mini bus just outside the hotel that operates until like 11pm, so you always have an option to get between the center and the hotel

I believe that the views from this room are the best in Riomaggiore! Paolo, the host, is very welcoming. He met us at the parking to make sure we learnt how to open and close the parking gate and walked with us all the way to the apartment telling us the history and story of his village. it’s a package experience I would say..

The location is great. Directly on the main street.
The Cinque Terre is a must see place, you do need to have a good pair of legs as it is all about walking and some places a very steep. Riomaggiore is a beautiful place and although small is worth exploring. The best Troffie was served at the trattoria near the station as was all their food, homemade excellence. A train pass will take you to all the other towns very quickly.
I think if you can bear the huge influx of tourists during the day Riomaggiore is a lovely place to stay. But never go in July-August. Mid September the weather was the best as the water was still warm. Great places to swim off the rocks and the sunsets are spectacular. Good for take away food-wine to eat-drink on your terrace. We didn’t eat in restaurants as our terrace had a great view (expensive but worth the view). Very steep steps so wear trainers. We kayaked for 2 hours from Riomaggiore-Corniglia, a great way to see the coastline. We also booked a guide through booking.com to take us around the villages and let us taste some local foods and wines. Very informative and entertaining. Very easy to get around on trains so book a two day pass. We also did a winetasting in an amazingly photogenic bar-restaurant called Bar e Vini a Pie de Ma on a terrace on a cliff above Riomaggiore station, great food too especially the Bruschette. Most of the coastal walks are closed so you have to walk the long way over the hills. Extremely strenuous if you are not a fit walker, we did Riomaggiore-Manarolo, 1 hour up very steep steps, 45min down. We took the train back. Wouldn’t do that again…. Not worth doing Via Dell’ Amore as it is only 200 mt, as the rest is under construction and you need to pay for it. Interesting to see it being reconstructed with the aid of a helicopter. Stunning place but be aware that there will be crowds.
Riomaggiore is best if you are staying in Cinque Terre for a limited time as there is no proper beach as in Monterosso and restaurants are limited. It is very easy to reach to other towns when you buy the Cinque Terre pass for the day which costs around 18 €, which to us was too much so we preferred to buy individual tickets for 5 €. Monterosso is the best for the beach and day time snacking with fried sea food, Manarola is best for the views of sunset and dinner with proper restaurants. The only thing I would warn is the famous trattoria in Manarola- Trattoria Bİlly. They do not answer calls when you try to make reservation and when you go to the restaurant they say they are fully booked. We tried to reach them for few days with no success...
Riomaggiore is beautiful place, we were there for 3 nights and experienced excellent restaurants. The views from different places are breathtaking. But be prepared to go up and down, lots of steps and the village has no beach. If you like beach, go to Monterosso or Vernazza. But Monterosso has better beach. But don’t forget to bring beach shoes… it’s a rocky type of beach, not sand. The entire Cinque Terre is worthy to visit.
Breathtaking, magical village with authentic Italian flavor. The colorful buildings playfully stack on each other by the coasts and all the steps and paths that connect them gives you sense of dreamy, MC Escher drawings world. This village is less touristy and busy; definitely more local than other bigger towns. I wish I could stay longer!!
We arrived right before garbage day, the streets were full of garbage containers overflowing with rubbish. The entrance to our apartment had rubbish all around on the ground and a plastic bag full of linens. Not a good first impression.
Riomaggiore
Location + Room + Hospitality is unmatched. David, family and team make this experience a 5-star +++. From the moment we arrived, he made this a personal and amazing experience. A welcome drink, restaurant reservations, and incredible breakfast in a basket delivered to our private patio....all of this happened effortlessly making our stay a favorite stop. The Sunset Line is brand new, clean, and in the most incredible location to watch the sunset and explore the Cinque Terre. Three cheers for this place!
Riomaggiore
Mario was an incredible host, we got lost trying to find the apartment because Google maps struggles with the hills and roads of Cinque Terre and we called him and Mario came down and walked us to the apartment and even carried my bags for me up the steep steps. He showed us around the apartment and even left us snacks and a delicious Cinque Terre Chianti. The most incredible host and the views from this apartment were beyond anything I could imagine.
Riomaggiore
We had the best host every, friendly with a lot of advise that helped us to make the best of our 3 days in the Cinque Terre area. She gave us links to great restaurant spots for Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. She also equipped us with all the information we needed to make the best of our stay. Train tickets, Ferry tickets and WIFI Codes. Anna Michielini is 5min walk from the train station & easy to find. I would highly recommend a stay here.
Riomaggiore
This place is located approximately 4 km away from Riomaggiore, but there is a shuttle bus that goes almost every hour from Riomaggiore to Borgo di Campi. The bus is free if you have the Cinque Terre card. Exactly 1 min away from it starts one of the hiking trails that will connect you to the trail to Porto Venere, which is amazing. The views from the gardens are indescribable. The best would be to bring your own food. Lovely place!
Riomaggiore
Giocomo, the gentleman that checked us in. was extremely helpful & accommodating. Location was in an excellent location but was not noisy at night. Very clean, comfortable bed, hot water for showering, Air conditioning, close to train station. Flights of steps to our room on the third floor but not a problem. When you visit Cinque Terre you have to expect to do a lot of hills & stairs. Gorgeous area!
Riomaggiore
Great location, as easy as it gets probably in Cinque Terre. Great host, met us at the train station and walked with us to the room, which was small, but plenty of space for us. We also appreciated the help with baggage on our way out of town, as all the steps had gotten the better of us! The room was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay!
Riomaggiore
Lovely view, even from the ground floor room. Gianluca was fast and easy to contact regarding check-in and very flexible overall. Room itself was clean, quite spacious for 2 person with a queen-sized bed comfortable for sleeping. Good location in Riomaggiore. Overall worth the price and loved the stay in this lovely Cinque Terre village.
Riomaggiore
It was magical! The room was amazing and very modern. It was nice and cozy. The bathroom was updated and has the best shower in Italy. Ac worked but we didn't need it. Amazing veiws. Chiara was amazing she made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back and recommend her to anyone that is going to the Cinque Terre
Riomaggiore
fabulous accommodations, with the most amazing view! We love sitting on the patio in the evening, enjoying the beautiful Cinque Terre. It was a bonus that a cute little restaurant with excellent food was at the bottom of the lift off to the right we loved our stay at La Ripa! The owners are so welcoming.
Riomaggiore
Incredible view in the best location. Beautiful rooms and facilities. Paolo was such a personable host who made us feel at home. He met us at check in and chatted with us about the history of cinque Terre, the best places to eat and what to see and do. It was amazing.
Riomaggiore
This was the most incredible place to stay in all of Cinque Terre! The location perfect and views were breathtaking. Amazing value and you can tell the owner cares deeply about the care of the property and the customer experience. I truly hope to return one day soon.

It’s a good & spacious place to stay in for a quick escape in Cinque Terre. Perfectly located in the heart of Riomaggiore, with few steps away from the Marina and <5mins walk to the station. Christian, the host was very responsive and helpful!
Riomaggiore
Best place to watch a Cinque Terre sunset away from the hustle and bustle. 2min walk to the beach or port swimming area. The apartment was a lot larger than expected and I would highly recommend staying here to anyone
