The location is quaint and a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. It sits in a little harbour and is very picturesque with a rock beach close by. There is a good sized bathroom.
Alla Marina Affittacamere is set in a mid-13th-century building renovated in 2011 and located right by the little harbor in Riomaggiore, one of the Cinque Terre towns.

The location was amazing, open the window and you are gazing at the prettiest harbour in Cinque Terre. The room is spacious. The hosts were very helpful, met me at the train station and helped me with my bags at my departure. They also assisted me w my tourist pass and restaurant suggestions that were excellent.

We had a beautiful view and plenty of space for our group. Liked being so close to the train station.

Fun to walk around this Idyllic small Italian City, bring very good comfortable shoes…. It’s all stairs and up and down elevation. Lots of people brought walking sticks. It’s very humid and moist as you can imagine as you are on the water…. So don’t bother with your hair ladies…. We went during mid October….. 1 day of beautiful sunshine… the rest rain…. Thunderstorms.
We were surprised at the crowds during off season!!! Still elbow to elbow. Make sure to bring your locket for the Via Del Amore❤️

We loved taking strolls of an evening around the laneways and paths. Allowed us to talk to a few locals doing the same. We decided to do the easy walking trail to the next town however does cost to use the joining paths. As weather turned bad we decided to catch the local train and visit each of the other towns instead of walking to the furthest.
Would advise to stay in one of the towns instead of La Spezia. Towns become nice and quiet once all the tourists leave for the day.

The area was beautiful but for travelers that have problems going up and down steps or hills Riomaggiore might not be the place for you. That said, the town people were friendly, nothing was overpriced and there are a number of excellent restaurants and cafes to satisfy every palate. La Lampara for seafood and La Cantina de Macellaio for the carnivores are excellent choices. Il Maggiore cafe is perfect for a quick bit or coffee.

One of the most romantic places we have ever been to.
One of the most romantic places we have ever been to.
Recommend Kepris Pizza fab pizza and lovely staff, Gormet in Piazza for coffee and Brittas for juices and awesome avocado on toast. Resturants Osteria La Torpedine - superb tuna dish.
You need to be pretty fit for walking around if your based there lots of steps - but awesome little back streets to get lost in. Spectacular sunsets.
Coop supermarket great for getting food to prepare yourself and saves you money. Foccaccia cheaper here as well.

We visited all 5 towns, found Riomaggiorre to be the best one to stay in, it had it all, wide variety of resteraunts, lively, it had a secluded beach, Vernazza was too busy and did not like its beach, and Monterosso was beautiful, but a bit to busy for us as we did not travel with kids

Riomaggiore was generally quieter than the other 4 villages. There were lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. We particularly loved ‘il maggiore’ because the staff were friendly and the food was great.
The view of the buildings surrounding the beach is iconic. The water is difficult to access however and there are only rocks to lie on. Plenty of opportunities for water activities if weather allows. Very friendly!

We were enchanted from the first minute we stepped foot in this delightful holiday apartment perched on the cliffs of Riomaggiore! Spotlessly clean, super-comfortable beds, a well-appointed kitchen, stunning views of the village and the Mediterranean and the most lovely host! Sabrina kept us updated about everything important to our stay in the cinque Terre and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend to other travellers!
The attention to detail in this place is amazing - electric blanket on the bed, beach towels and umbrella, espresso machine and breakfast snacks. The lighting and ambience provides a cool haven just off the main street. No noise at night. This was the best accommodation we had in our 5 days in cinque terre towns.
Cast Away is really well located, just a short flight of stairs from the main street in Riomaggiore so Easy to manage with luggage.
The room is modern, very clean and very comfortable.
I'd highly recommend staying here when you're visiting beautiful Cinque Terre.
it was perfect location and in great condition! Ilenia was an amazing host with lists of information about the best things to do on the Cinque Terre! highly recommend!
