The stuff is the nicest and most helpful. The room was really clean and also located in a very good area of the town, close to everything.

parking just in front of the hotel, quiet area despite being in walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, bars. the best was being able to sit in the garden and read peacefully. check-in was super simple and no problem that I did my booking 30 minutes before arrival. room was spacious and had a great view with large windows. would come again!

This is a fantastic hotel, just a short walk from the center of town. The staff were welcoming, kind, and accommodating. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast very much. We had a room on the first floor and liked sitting in the chairs out front of the room, taking in the view and night air.
If you are a light sleeper, I suggest bringing earplugs as the walls are thin. Luckily our neighbors went to bed shortly after us so the noise wasn't too disruptive.

Everything is fine. No complaints. Only that the washing machine was not working. Not an issue.
The town is in the middle of the Picos de Europa. Although not as well-known as some other mountain ranges, the scenery is as good as the Alps, if not better, The town centre is fairly flat with plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a very nice ice cream shop. All the local people we met were very friendly.

A pleasant village in the Picos - provides a better alternative to the busy and more popular Potes and Panes. Eating out is reasoanbly easy, though choice can be a bit limited. Quite a few hotels here and some smaller guest houses too. Scenery in the area is outstanding - I recommend for anything from walking to motorcycling.

We had timed our visit to coincide with the Cabrales cheese and cider festival (last Sunday of August) as we have attended this before and enjoyed it and we were not disappointed; the whole town was buzzing with people, traditional Asturian music and costumes and lots of superb traditional food.
There’s a regular bus service to Poncebos from where there is access to lovely walks such as the village of Bulnes (can also be accessed by funicular train) and the stunning Cares Gorge and others

This town is a gateway to Picos de Europa, where we did several days of hiking. There are some good hotels here. However, food choices are very limited, especially for vegetarians/vegans. Note that most places don't start serving dinner until 8 pm, which was a challenge after we'd been out on the trails until the afternoon.

Las Arenas is set in stunning Picos scenery.
Las Arenas is set in stunning Picos scenery. Cheese cave is close and worth visting, set above river of the clearest water. The approach to Las Arenas from the east is through a spectacular limestone gorge, along a good road with stopping places from which to enjoy the views. We did not have time to take funicular to Bulnes but would do that if we went again.

Came here to walk the Cares Route through Picos de Europa - a stunning part of Spain, simply beautiful. Lots of options in town for eating and drinking, and a supermarket also. Enjoyed our brief stat. The Cares Route walk, 24 kms, is not for the faint hearted though!

We stayed for two days - on the first day breakfast was great, the next day we were leaving at 7 am so the hotel staff gave us breakfast to go the day before and it was really nice :)
The room was big and had a great view of the mountains. Room was exceptionally clean and soap/shampoo was of high quality.
Parking is free, we haven't had any problems with parking availability during our stay. Parking is under the hotel and it's really easy to park there (in Spain some parkings are really claustrophobic).
The breakfast was advertised on booking.com as being 7euros per night but is actually A la Carte and quite expensive, the quality was good though.
Another issue is that the price of the hotel when booking does not include tax when you pay at the hotel so be prepared to pay quite a lot more, my booking.com price would have been £156 for 3 nights but was actually £192 which included only 1 breakfast, this is misleading on the booking.com website.
Very nice friendly staff, clean and comfortable room.

Our hostess Gelé was very personable and warm. Very little English-speaking was done in Arenas de cabrales and it was the same at the pension. But we wanted for nothing. The community kitchen allows you to keep a low food budget in a well stocked space. I shared a picture of the community space. Rooms on the river side allowed us to listen to the river and it was the best night of sleep our entire trip. I shared a photo from our window.
Ivan was the nicest host, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location, in the beautiful town on las arenas cabrales….but slightly away from the Main Street. There were great dining options nearby, a laundromat 100 mtrs away, fantastic access to the hiking routes, next to ample free parking. we were there during a festival and it was just the right time and right place.
This was a lovely gem of a hotel. It was very clean, the staff were really helpful and friendly also. Good breakfast selection. We wanted to go walking in the Pico's and it was a perfect location for us as we could easily get to more walks than we could physically do in the week we stayed there. We had a lovely room which was very comfortable and both slept really well.
Very good accommodation with free parking on the dirt outside of the building, close to the most famous trail of Picos de Europa, well equipped kitchen, spacious apartment. The price of the accommodation was really great compare to the others by the ocean, and you can get to the beach in only 40 minutes.
arrival hotel reception at 16:00 with no staff at reception, but hotel cancelled me even through the booking show me confirmed and checkin schedule 16.00-16.30, with saying no check in online.
i accept their cancel,
but even worst is that it is with no refund after many communication!
It was a very nice stay! The food was perfect, staff was very kind and location was nice! We would really recommend this place! Normally we don't eat at our hotel but this restaurant really surprised us! All of the three nights we were really curious what the dinner would be!

This was a basic hotel with helpful staff and clean rooms. The breakfast included was good, although a bit odd to a buffet but table service. We were able to get breakfast earlier than stated, which really helped us
The hotel was outstanding, well located and has some of the best views of the Picos. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially the chef who made an alternative dessert for my husband.
Location was perfect , in the lovely town of Arenas de Cabrales , near Poncebos and Carrels gorge, with the backdrop of the Picos every morning. Supermarkets and great restaurants close by.
