Breakfast was great.
Staff was very helpful and courteous.
If you don’t boat, there are still things to do here.
If you don’t boat, there are still things to do here. The Maritime museum is very good, the naval air center is just across the river, as well as a historic village. Wonderful seafood restaurants with water views. We easily filled two days with activities.

Loved the area! It was beautiful!
Loved the area! It was beautiful! I have a gluten allergy, the waiters at the restaurants we ate at made sure I had what I needed so I didn't get sick. The people in the area are very friendly and make you feel welcome.

We ate dinner at the Holiday Inn Isaacs restaurant three nights and had breakfast there both weekend mornings. During the week, the Holiday Inn offered a complimentary grab and go breakfast during the week days that helped get the day started. We also had dinner at The Pier, The Lighthouse, The Bugeye Grill, and the Island Hideaway all on Solomons Island. Although pricey, the food was outstanding, and the water views were lovely. We traveled around Solomons visiting St. Mary's River State Park, Piney Point, St. George Island, the Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center, and the Drum Point Lighthouse on our first full day. It was all very nice. Tuesday took us to Colton Point and St. Clements Island followed on Wednesday with visiting the Cove Point Lighthouse. Thursday we ventured to Point Lookout which was also very nice. Our travels took us from the Patuxent River, to the St. Mary's River, to the Potomac River, and then the Chesapeake Bay where we could actually see the Eastern Shore from Point Lookout. One of the really nice parts of our trip was the relaxed, no muss, no fuss attitude we really enjoyed without feeling like you weren't dressed quite right for any of our outings. Since my husband and I are pretty active during the day, the last thing we want to do is get dressed up to go to dinner which wasn't a problem at all so we were thrilled. The roads are a little tricky in the area we adjusted to towards the end of our trip although the beginning of our travels was a bit of a challenge. Although I don't see us returning in the future because of other travel commitments we have, I would highly recommend Solomons to anyone who likes the water and nature and most anything associated with them.

Solomons is a beautiful island with lots of great seafood places, little shops and a nice boardwalk with a ice cream shop, its a nice place to take a stroll around the island, and in the evening take beautiful pictures when the sun goes down. We always eat at Anglers Seafood which is in the same parkin lot of the Quality Inn we stay at, the food is always amazing and the short walk over is great.

Enjoyed the wine tasting and restaurants.. disappointed there wasn’t much to do but we were just looking for a quick weekend getaway with no plans and it was January. But we enjoyed just walking along the water and being away from hectic life at home. It was our first time visiting so we didn’t know what to expect but we had a nice relaxing weekend.
never ate breakfast, we were too busy having fun around the neighborhood and sailing. Had a great time. I want a special compliment for Donna at the front desk who knows the hotel business. She is the only one who knew anything, had personality, smarts and coordinate all of our plans very well. We heard you will be selling the property and that saddened us immediately
Steve and Shawn are wonderful Innkeepers and we are looking forward to a return visit! Breakfast was exceptional every day. The location was great, and our room was overlooking the harbor. Parking was convenient and safe. We were so comfortable.
Mr. Steve and his Wife Shawn was the joy of my trip made everything available that we needed and serving us breakfast was outstanding. Steve and Shawn told us were to eat and directed us to the museum.
Regan is the sweetest owner/ innkeeper who made the best delicious breakfast both mornings and even earlier the last am because of our traveling schedule. She goes above and beyond for her guests.
A nice hotel, the room had a fantastic view across the water and it was within walking distance of museum. We would stay there again. Excellent value for money. really helpful staff.
