Lovely camping! The cabin was clean and comfortable (surprisingly one of the most comfy beds during my month-long Italian journey). There is everything you might need, it's very clean and well taken care of (I hope it will stay this way since I plan to come back!) The stuff was helpful and very nice! Location is perfect.

L'affabilita' del personale, la posizione centrale
Was a delight Orbetello is in winter. Blue sky therapy for starters; no wind/rain for two solid weeks over Christmas with temps hitting 15C every day. The location, the peace and quiet, the natural beauty around this sleepy - and historic - little town. Everything about this place took me by surprise and charmed me the whole time I was there doing an Italian language course. It's a world away from the mainland hustle and bustle. Check out the sunrise/sunsets over the lagoons, the birdlife (flamingos!), the beaches and so much more. Take the local bus for a 10mn ride across the causeway over to Monte Argentario and explore Porto S. Stefano or Porto Ercole and beyond. A paradise for walkers, hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers, lovers of nature and beauty. It's just stunning!

After the endless crowds and scarce beaches of Amalfi & Sorrento & Capri, Orbetello seemed like a hidden find! Lovely town. Beautiful accessible beaches nearby. Reasonable rates for hotels & food. We had a rental car & were just sort of cruising & came upon it. No one we know has heard of it. I'd definitely go back!

Plenty of lovely places to visit if you have transport.
Plenty of lovely places to visit if you have transport. The botanic dry gardens and Ortobello itself were our only trips as we had no transport. The brochures at La Posta give plenty of ideas of what to see. Eat at the Enoteca in Orbetello with local produce. A walk around the promenade is recommended.
Definitely eat at La Posta di Torrenova!!!

It is a quiet town super close to Monte Argentario.
It is a quiet town super close to Monte Argentario.
On the main road you can find some shops (clothes, hygiene products) and loads of pizzerias and bars.
Orbetello is really well kept Toscan town, which I am sure is buzzinh during high season. Now it was rather authentical with only locals.
There are buses going to Port Ercole and Port Santo Stefano, the ticket one way costs 2,60€.
Orbetello also boast over really green surroundings and has numerous parks.

Orbetello has a cute Centre.
Orbetello has a cute Centre. Without a car, though, it’s difficult to get to any beaches. The buses are good, though, and run on time. Staying on Monte Argentario, in a place like Porto Santo Stefano has much better views and better for beach access
We loved our stay at this authentic Italian apartment. It is in a quiet part of town and the beds are very comfortable so we slept well. Wifi and shower work well. Everything is clean.
There are a lot of mosquitoes in Orbetello but we didn't get bitten, thanks to the insect screens on the windows.
Peter and Katia are so welcoming and very kind to give us lifts to the station since we were travelling by rail. It felt like we were family guests and not just tourists.
I wish we were able to stay for longer.
Perfect location for exploring the stunning town of Orbetello and close to the beautiful town square. Very peaceful, quiet, calming and cool hotel interior with shaded courtyard for breakfast. Very close to many good restaurants within easy walking distance and sunset views over the lagoon. Wonderful warm welcome and smiles every time you walk into the hotel and great recommendations of places to visit and places to eat. Thank you for the fantastic stay!
Beautiful historic building. Amazing restoration of 500 year old home now with modern accommodations. Best location in Orbetello. Comfortable rooms with beautiful furnishings. My wife said the hair dryer was amazing. Friendly, helpful and quick to respond service. Great recommendations of places to visit and where to eat (and not eat). This is the place to stay when visiting Orbetello. If I return to this part of Tuscany, I would stay at Casa Iris.
Hotel right in the center of town, very walkable to many things.
We were only there overnight because we were on our way from Venice to Amaseno, Italy. It is too long a trip for us to do in one day.
Breakfast was excellent
Older hotel, but they keep it clean and newer furnishings. We had a beautiful view from the balcony, and it is in a small, but pleasant town.
Lovely hotel in the middle of an olive farm, with super rooms, pool and kind and welcoming staff.
Fantastic restaurant - lovely breakfast, even better dinner, with delicious food and wines.
We also received a free upgrade to a more spacious room, which was appreciated.
Location good, a short drive from the Orbetello lagoon and coast, and Talamone.
Nicely positioned hotel with beautiful lake views from patio and forward facing rooms. Best pillows in Italy so far. Quiet nights. Very nice breakfast with seating option in courtyard with plenty of room. Very convenient for evening stroll, restaurants and shops. About 2 hr or less drive from Fiumicino made it an easy place to reach first day.
Nice place with a fantastic (but expensive) meat restaurant. Friendly staff, good service. The location is good to go visit the beaches, small cities like Orbetello, Monte Argentario and other very nice villages in the Maremma and Montemerano region. The restaurant is very popular, so it bring a nice atmosphere at night.
Right on the beach with access right out back. Nice balcony, shared with other rooms. Roos were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had seet and savory items, and cappuccino to order. wonderful restaurant for dinner at the hotel. staff were friendly and helpful. Easy parking with 5 min walk back to hotel.
Superb location, oustanding service, friendly host, delicious breakfasts. Beach is just 100m away and is not surrounded by hotels so it is not crowded. Host recommended trip destinations and made us reservations for exclusive restaurants! Parking next to the property. We will definitely come back!
I loved everything about this property! It’s located in the center area of Orbetello, quiet and safe area. This couple who own the property went beyond to take care of guests! I really enjoyed our conversations during the breakfast time! Will definitely return
We had a very large room, the biggest so far in Italy. It was very clean and the towels were extra thick which was a bonus. It was convenient to walk onto the old town for dinner. We were able to get a free park in the street just outside the hotel.
Very welcoming couple, and beautiful plants on property. Slept soundly and enjoyed the access to Orbetello ~ only a few km away, just hard to access on bike as the hiway is busy. Overall a lovely stay!
The people of Orbetello were extremely friendly and when the Sunday service bus time table to Porto Stephano meant that we'd need to wait for over 2 hours, a very kind man and his dog drove us there.
The owner was really great, helped us a lot, great breakfast, great place. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed.
