The staff was great! We ate in the restaurant, it was awesome. Our server was very helpful and friendly and the food was good. There was a two piece jazz band playing that added a nice atmosphere.

The town is some 25-30 minutes from the Rush Creek resort where we stayed. We only drove through Groveland, it seemed to have a lovely one block downtown with BBs, restaurants, and a few other stores. On the road to Yosemite from San Francisco through Manteca, Groveland is the most picturesque little town.

Unexpectedly charming town with way more facilities then we had imagined. The local saloon is awesome, so is the grocery store. We didn't really have time to explore the other options (as we were there to visit Yosemite) but there were plenty more interesting eating/drinking options around.

I wanted a more plush room. This one is adequate but the pillows were too hard and the bedding too thin for winter. Also the bed itself was not plush. It’s not the fault of Westgate. I tried to book at another more plush hotel but I was told there were no more rooms. Come to find out there were no more rooms at the price Booking.com got to offer. Groveland is a wonderful place to stay. About 30 min to park entrance. Great grocery store, restaurants, local bar etc. Main Street very historic looking. Berkshire Inn was a perfect place for a moms' weekend away with 9 friends. The couple running the place were amazing; they were so sweet and accommodating. And the food was fantastic. They had wine and beer ready for us when we arrived and made delicious coffee, zucchini bread, pancakes, eggs, and fruit for breakfast.
