Hotel super close to the fairgrounds; room was neat and clean; nice upgrade to the large bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body soap in shower and hand soap by sink; quiet location; close to elevator; breakfast room was very clean (big plus) and coffee was excellent!

Location, comforting friendly staff. Only bad thing was people slamming there door all night. It was quiet up until 10pm. We stayed there as my sister had surgery at Upstate Medical.

The location was great, right next to Syracuse University. The lobby was really nice, with some stained glass, comfortable chairs, plenty of tables and a bar. The room was large, comfortable and quiet.

I went there on business, surrounding restuarants were adaequate. This is an industrialised town that is in decline, surrounded by vast countryside. You need a car and friends or business colleagues to make the trip enjoyable.

Being a city off the beaten tourist track, Syracuse has great prices for lodging, tickets, super quiet to drive and park, use public transportation, walk in the mall, visit sights.
When I left Syracuse, I went to New York City (NYC).
It is the 3rd time I go to NYC, but this time I felt the huge difference!
NYC is noisy, cars honk non-stop; people are in a hurry all the time; the traffic is chaotic; lodging, food, etc. everything is much more expensive! I wanted to go back to Syracuse the same day, too bad I couldn't.

Large old industrial town.
Large old industrial town. Downtown area has great old buildings. Niagara Mohawk building is amazing. Talking Cursive Brewery is across the street. It’s woman and veteran owned with great award winning beer and food. We were only in Syracuse overnight. I wish we’d had one more day.

The good: Syracuse has great parks in and around Onandaga Lake, a university city vibe, friendly people and many museums if that is what you are looking for. The food scene was good. The music scene was great.
It is also close to all the wineries of the fingers lake region.
The not so good: Syracuse's elevated highway system cuts up the Centertown and does make some areas look dingy and run-down. This is where the I90 and I81 intersect, along with several other limited access roads.
The location is perfect for business. The breakfast was never enough. The time set out for breakfast was from 6:00 to 9:00am. When we got there everything was already finish and only coffee was available.
I liked the self help service but for the fact that the food was never enough it was difficult to find someone to complain to. We stayed for 5 nights and not once was my room cleaned. Nobody clean our room at all. This is bad service. When we arrived the place was nice and clean.
In spite our late arrival the staff was welcoming and service prompt. Free gated parking in a downtown location (10 minutes walk to Syracuse U.) was convenient, as were the wrapped pastry breakfast and fresh coffee in the morning. The hotel building outside preserved the architecture details and engravings of the former synagogue, and inside was tastefully decorated as well.
I really enjoyed this hotel because it was cheap and close to where i needed to go for work. The room was very cheap, the bed was comfortable, it had a microwave and a refrigerator which worked well. The tv worked nicely, it had heat and ac and the bathroom was clean. They left soap and shampoo too! Everyday they came in and gave me fresh towels, great hospitality!
Very helpful and friendly woman at checkin, which made our arrival at the hotel better than we were imagining it might be, given the surprisingly outdated appearance of the hotel. Breakfast ok, some hot food and various other choices, just not fabulous.
Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were excellent, very nice breakfast! Also, while we didn't bring out dog, it was lovely to know that she would have been welcomed with a modest $35 flat fee (another hotel wanted $100 fee plus $35 a day).
Thank you for a pleasant stay. Good and friendly host. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for cooking. Best of all, the facilities are great for pet-friendly guests!
Attractive old building, good lobby, great location, felt secure, nice kitchenette in room. common areas were very clean. Nice linens. Staff happy to tell hotel history when asked.
Beautifully restored, great spacious room, nice staff, both restaurants excellent, the pub being a great gathering space, friendly bartenders. Mr Reilly runs a great hotel.
I just want to thank the entire ParkView Hotel team for their excellent work. I was delighted. Everything was wonderful. I intend to return one day, maybe next year.
