Location was in a quiet village, but was easy to get to surrounding areas, both by bus and car. Cottage was very well equipped and very clean.

It was very quirky; great location, had a washing machine and dryer (didn’t need to use them) but great if you do. Kitchen was well stocked with crockery/cutlery/toaster/kettle/ironing board, iron, hairdryer and towels. Owners provided history of the cottage dating back to 1600’s and yes the stairs are tight but this just added to the charm, history and character of the property. 2mins from the beach/sea and a stones throw from smugglers cove great little bar that did great pizzas, beer and wine!

This is an exceptional B&B run by a lovely couple. We were going to stay in Whitby for a short shop over enroute to Scotland, but I am so glad we found this place. After a long drive we were welcomed into a beautifully decorated spacious room with lovely views. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was also a great sofa to relax on in the evenings. Breakfasts were delicious and well organised to maximise covid safety measures. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and it was on the Cleveland Way. There is a lovely cliff walk to Whitby. Highly recommended

The evening meal was tasty and filling and good bottled beer available. The bed was comfortable and the shower very clean and powerful. The setting of an interesting building could not be bettered. Staff friendly and atmosphere the most genuinely relaxed I've experienced. Lots of books to read and local information.
