Very beautiful and above all clean accommodation. Everyday cleanliness was a matter of course. Very nice and relaxed staff, great breakfast. The swimming pool and the wonderful garden provide peace and well-being. Great location, close to the beach. I really recommend this accommodation. We were soo comfortable with our 2 year old! All the staff was super friendly to us and our daughter. The rooms were comfortable and tasteful, beach is amazing. Restaurant is more expensive than average but worth it! Grilled calamary was sooo good we ate one everyday :) Special thanks to all the hardworking staff of the hotel, they were so accomodating, helpful without overwhelming us.

Super friendly staff and the most beautiful view to the sea. The villa integrates tanzanian architecture beautifully in the building. It's simple without air conditioner but with love. Also the food was amazing and whenever I had a question I got help right away. The place is quite and relaxing. Would love to come again

The serene atmosphere and the friendly ambiance made it easy to unwind and disconnect from the world. Moreover, the location offers a plethora of activities to explore. From the mesmerizing Blue Lagoon to the intriguing caves and the vibrant Paje, there is always something exciting to do nearby.

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Pongwe Beach Hotel is located in Pongwe. WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a patio and a seating area. We travel a lot and I must say that I have not come accross prettier a rustic property. The food is outstanding and the staff is very helpful. The pictures don't do justice to the on ground reality( it is much prettier). It is a calm and peaceful place for tasteful travellers. The missing airconditioners aren't a problem and the breeze beds are totally worth it. Bush babies at the bar are the celebs. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute spent.

I like the breakfast, they said breakfast between 8-10am but we asked for earlier breakfast to catch our mnemba boat tour then they prepared breakfast for us at 7:30am. It was amazing thanks to the manangement. hotel is next to the best beach , the beach is so colorful and the best spot for sunset. rooms are big enough and cleaning everyday. It's a pet friendly hotel that you can bring your pet with you and free drinking water 24 hours... limitless! Thanks for your care guys! see you very soon again!

My time at Almas was absolutely exceptional and, honestly, my favourite stay during my travels in Zanzibar! Firstly, the staff were wonderful. Aleks, the owner, went above and beyond to make my stay as relaxing as possible (I really needed it after the frenetic energy in Paje). The staff were friendly and attentive, service was quick, the food was delicious and portions were generous. Secondly, location location location! Although Almas doesn’t have a private beach, it might as well be because it’s so so quiet and (the best part!) there are no beach boys trying to sell you anything. I actually liked that it wasn’t private because you see the locals harvesting the ocean during low tide, which I personally found fascinating. Finally, the facilities are stunning and the architecture and design clearly celebrates the natural landscape and local resources. I loved spending time in the pool, relaxing on the loungers overlooking the Indian Ocean, and the hot shower was FABULOUS! There’s so much more I could say, but it’s probably best summed up by the fact that my stay felt too short and I will absolutely be returning to Almas on my next trip to Zanzibar.
