Welcome to The Blanco Bungalow. The Blanco Bungalow is an unassuming private gated estate, tucked away at the end of a peaceful street in a serene coastal village. As soon as you enter through the gate, you'll be captivated by the tranquil atmosphere. From the pristine white houses to the beautifully landscaped gardens and the vast size of the property, every detail is awe-inspiring. The views of the ocean cliffs and rolling hills are simply breathtaking, making it a truly magical place. Wake up to the sound of roosters and fall asleep to the soothing crash of waves from the nearby sea. The expansive pool offers a serene retreat, while the Poolhouse + Adega with wood burning fireplace, poker, foosball, and pool table, is bound to become a favourite hangout spot for daily enjoyment. We also have a Natural + Organic Wine + Home Store on the property, Bodega. Our shop features gifts, ceramics, and wine from local organic Portuguese & French wine producers. Our farm consists of three Casas, two Casitas, a pool, pool house, garden, orchard and horse pasture. We live on the property, so you will definitely see us around. We have two dogs, three ducks, three ponies, chickens, and a cat. All of our Casitas have been recently painted and/or renovated and feature Brand New Mattresses, Premium Linen Bedding, and all of our linens are washed in Eco-Friendly Plant-Based Detergent. We offer Recycling as well as Compost.
Bom dia! We moved to Portugal in 2022 from Southern California. I'm an Interior Designer who loves horses and my husband is a Michelin Star Restauranteur who lives to surf. We craved nature, good surf, and a slower more intentional quality of life. We bought our farm in January of 2024, and began renovating. July 2024, we opened for guests. Come stay with us at our little slice of paradise next to the ocean, The Blanco Bungalow.
Our farm is situated in a rural Portuguese Village, slightly off the beaten path, yet conveniently close to Ericeira, Lisbon, Sintra, Peniche, and Nazarè. We personally love our location, because it allows us to easily spend the day in Lisbon or pop in and out of Ericeira whenever we please. Simultaneously, we are far enough away to escape the bustling tourist areas and fully embrace authentic Portuguese Culture and the natural beauty of the ocean and surroundings. Walk to local cafes, pastelarias, markets. The property is surrounded by endless ocean trails for hiking and mountain biking, and is steps to the sea. Walk to take in the sunsets over the ocean with a glass of wine.
