Accommodations in Chikuni

Great location. very close to the tsugaike ski lift. abt 3 mins walk. although its shared facility for kitchen bathroom and shower. All the facilities are super clean and well maintained. Host is a super nice and friendly. there is an restaurant belong to this location as well which seems the best dinner we have during our 4 nights at Tsugaike.

Amazing location, literally right next to the ski resort. The unit was modern, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Self check in process was easy.

We had a great stay! The people are very kind and helpful.

Being able to request for picked up and sent off was a plus point. Hostess and team is responsive and friendly. Plenty of amenities provided such as hot drinks, self care, vending machine and washing machine. Lounge area also available for you to relax, watch tv, read manga and also massage chair. They got 2 onsen available for reservation for FREE. You can walk to Tsugaike resort or their driver can sent you to the destination

Awesome stay, close to ski lifts, own Onsen in hotel and ski lockers

Breakfast was incredible. The staff were incredibly hospitable.

Host was very responsive to questions and helpful about what was available nearby outside of ski season. Bit of a drive to Nagano (65 mins) and to do tourist stuff we wanted, but accomodations were great and very peaceful. Would've been perfect if we planned to just stay in and enjoy the peace and quiet. Would be an Amazing stay during ski season as walking distance to the slopes. The coffee provided was great and kitchen well equipped.

our stay at Hieda Sanso was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of a well-maintained, spacious, and thoughtfully designed lodge, along with the genuine hospitality of Mr. Yasushi, made it an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Otari, and we hope to return someday to create more wonderful memories. Thank you, Mr. Yasushi, for making our stay so special!

Cozy, comfortable & attentive staff

I liked everything about this hotel! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Neo checked us in after hours, as we were unable to get there within regular hours. Neo and Sho helped with bus schedules, taxi services, reservations, onsen recommendations, and basic local knowledge. I did not catch the names of our friendly Barista or the gal in the back, as they welcomed us every morning with delicious breakfasts and lattes that were included for hotel guests. Blue Star is located directly across from the Tsugeike resort and close to the convenience store, board rentals, eateries, and a bus stop.

Enough room for family of 5. Food was great. Staff were friendly. The location is perfect for resort choices.

Close to chairlift and have an area for hotel guest to leave snow gear. Have laundry facility and clean onsen.

Convenient position. Comfortable room. Good breakfast

Nice hot onsen and good breakfast.

Nice room, friendly staff and good breakfast

Lovely welcoming staff, exceptional service, great location, can’t wait to stay again someday.

Very close to the slope!! Just walk out back door and you're there. The staffs are friendly with good explanation in English. Also there is no parking at the building but there is car park at walkable distance. (around 400m)

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was private, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location was excellent. We didn’t have a car and relied entirely on buses and shuttles, and it was easy to get around from this spot. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, and Tsugaike Resort was conveniently accessible on foot, which made everything simple and stress-free.

An incredibly comfortable and scenic location away from the crazy hub-bub that Hakuba’s biggest resorts have become, yet mere minutes from the resort and valley bus. I walked in ski boots and carried my skis to Hakuba Norikura (HakuNori) each day. The staff-san from Hiroshima is the best! She genuinely seemed to enjoy getting to know each of the guests and would send us off in the morning with “itterasyai” and greet us with “okaerinasai” upon our return and ask us how our day was. She would help all the foreigners figure out their needs big and small, often answering questions even after hours. Locals and foreigners both stay and there is friendly chatter at dinner for those who wish to join. I plan to come back next season! A customer appeared at the door to ask if he could book the entire place for next season, please don’t say yes! We want to come back.

Fabulous property short walk to main gondola station - very easy 5 minute stroll Loved the house, very comfortable for our group of 9 people. Warm and cosy. Loved the layout, bathrooms were great. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Tsugaike

Super value lodging in Tsugaike. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. location is great 5 minutes from the gondolas.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk to Tsugaike Gondola station. Every morning there is a shuttle at 7:45 to Norikura/Cortina(need to sign in before 22:00), and also to the resorts in Hakuba Village at a later time. Best lodge for powder chasing.
