I have been staying in here for a few times. The location is incredibly convenient, situated close to the town center with easy access to shops, cafes, and local attractions.
The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was a standout feature—newly renovated, modern, and absolutely pristine.

There were three of us. The room was spacious: it looked more like an apartment with its own separate living room. Easy access to the building (we arrived very late at night). The hotel is located in the heart of beautiful Lismore.

Expect an older home with touches of elegance. Our bedroom was huge with a very comfortable bed with an adjoining spacious bathroom. Bedroom furniture commodious for spreading out our things. The breakfast area is welcoming and the pool is beyond comparisons--huge, pleasant temperature and just lovely.

We stayed here as we were visiting Lismore, and it is basically a suburb of Lismore. Where we stayed, you are up high, with gorgoeus views.
It was extremely quiet and private. We did not do anything in Goonellabah, but went into Lismore every night for dinner ( it is 10 mins away). I would recommend staying at Invercauld house for a quiet and private getaway/ or as a base to explore the surrounding areas.

The toilet is a composting toilet so a little different to what most people would be used to. The tiny home runs on solar for power and hot water. Samantha has been very good at communicating the best times to shower etc. A very peaceful place and all you hear are birds and cows. The tiny home is very comfortable with a microwave, hot plate, coffee pod machine, washing machine. She even has a hairdryer and hair straightener in the bathroom. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Wollongbar to visit family in Alstonville which is close by. The accommodation gave us space and comfort to relax in. We had dinner at the pub in Alstonville as the Tavern was very crowded and busy.

Some of the property rules regarding not having the dogs inside were so difficult . These were not known until after booking . The verandah area was a balcony and it was often getting wet . Another rule we found a laughable was a sign near the bbq that said failure to clean the bbq would bring severe consequences . The bottom plate was full of fat and crud . We were comfortable in the villa itself but it wasn’t what we would call pet friendly.

Lismore is still recovering in oarts from dreadful floods of several years ago but the indomitable spirit of the community and the large country town feel of the "city" are probably symbolic of Australian medium size Regional centres. It's a very casual town but wants for nothing by way of service and facilities. There are several cultural experiences and museums that are worth a look.

A hidden gem nestled in bush surroundings.
The until was comfortable, a couple of kangaroos went skipping by in the morning and whip birds made the early morning a great start.
The pool is very good . The price was a little more than we would usually pay , it would be good to know if there was a four or five day stay pricing . Overall very good

The location is serene and tranquil with Cows and Kangaroos everywhere! It was only 1hr or so to Byron and Lennox and plenty of other site nearby too. Samantha our Host was amazing she checked in on us and made sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. She also call over 'Calfy' the Cow and we fed and patted her in the paddock. What a great lil place to unwind and explore! We recommend and definitely will return and stay at 'Whisky on the Rocks' again.

The location was perfect as it was close to Ballina and Lismore. The local tavern was so close we were able to walk to it, with good well price meals. Excellent location for those travelling through who want a good clean well priced accommodation.
