Set in a 15th-century farmhouse, the renovated Farmhouse Hotel and Restaurant offers contemporary 4-star accommodations, superb cuisine and free Wi-Fi. There is also a swimming pool and leafy gardens.... Beautiful country setting. Facilities were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Rooms were well appointed with some very interesting, and nice, design features. We loved sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine and dinner was excellent with impeccable service.
Just a minute’s drive from Guernsey Airport, the family-run Le Chêne Hotel offers a seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub, an award-winning restaurant, and free parking. Excellent food for both breakfast and dinner. All staff very good. Quirky bar, but very cosy. Close to the coastal path for exploring and comfortable beds!! Would stay again.
Offering a restaurant, free WiFi and free parking, Longfrie Inn is located in St Savior Guernsey. A 9-minute drive from Guernsey Airport, Saint Savior's Nature Reserve is also 3 minutes' drive away. Staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was well presented and very tasty and my young grandson declared the scrambled eggs at breakfast were much better than those his mother cooked! With two small children the ball pit and other provided activities were an absolute hit!
La Trelade has free parking, free Wi-Fi, a 13-yard indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam room. It is 1.5 miles from Guernsey Airport and 3 miles from the island's capital, St Peter Port. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent.
Fleur Du Jardin is relaxed and informal with a hint of the unusual. It serves good fresh food and has a private swimming pool in its spacious grounds. Room very comfortable, updated bathroom. Excellent breakfast with choice of cooked and /or continental. Manager was very helpful when our plans changed and fast ferry cancelled due to weather.

Peaceful, secluded Saints Bay Hotel is set amid the magnificent cliff scenery of South Guernsey’s Icart Point. It has elegant rooms, free Wi-Fi, free parking, an outdoor heated pool and fine dining. We especially liked being near the coast path but it would not be everyone's taste. Beautiful but not very even surface. The other guests were also friendly and it felt very welcoming. Food was always carefully presented by smiling staff.

If you love history they have an amazing amount of WW2 memorabilia. Museums were well run, and castle was very interesting. Worth a ferry ride to Herm Island. Much slower and fascinating way of life. Buses are frequent and cheap, one pound per ride. They cover the whole island. Be warned local currency is not accepted in England, but English pounds are accepted there. You often get your change in local notes. Would go back and spend more time, but would eventually run out of things do do.
We loved the area although the tiny lanes were a challenge to walk along! The local walks and beaches were superb. Our hotel Bella Luce was a lovely place to say with friendly and helpful staff. Great food and plenty of Gin! Our only criticism is that the pool isn't heated and poolside furniture rather poor. But we would stay again.
Not as busy as St Peter Port but still has a few good shops and stores. St Martin village is only a 20 minute bus journey to St Peter Port if needed. Not far from the south coast which is the best for views and beaches compared to the rest of Guernsey.
St Martin is a great base for seeing Guernsey, with beautiful scenery like Jerbourg Point & Fermain Bay within walking distance, convenient proximity to food shops, bank etc. and a only quick drop down into St Peter Port.
I was questioned by police at the airport on my way back to London. An older lady had reported me to police for suspicious activity the day before. My suspicious activity was taking pictures. If you know anything about Guernsey, you know there isn't much to do there during the cold winter days than drive around the beautiful island and take photos. The pictures in question included the ones attached. However, I'm guilty of being Middle Eastern and brown. The police were defending the lady and assured me that it wasn't just the picture-taking, my activity was "all around suspicious" the second officer I spoke with said. The first police officer was the most professional I have ever come across and she was top notch. Not a safe place to travel to if you happen to "fit a profile" though. Approach this island with caution. I'm glad I didn't end up spending a few extra unplanned nights here because some lady was terrified by my skin color and features!
We like this rocky, south side of the island more than the sandy beaches on the north. The coast path with its little cafes and icecream shops is a fabulous walking space. We also liked the simple bus pricing and enjoyed the round island bus 92 from Town to t he north from which we walked back across the island. I was there for one day of work which we extended to a mini holiday. Very well worth it and we were lucky too with the weather, hitting a hot, sunny spot.
