A quiet town that doesn't seem to have much to offer. We were only there for one night after arriving at Palermo Airport, and for our last night before leaving from there. In between, we spent almost a month traveling around Sicily. Even the main street of Cinisi lacks much that is interesting, and restaurants / cafes / bars are scarce.
Lovely place to visit quiet and very quaint . Everything shuts at 12 pm until 5 even the supermarkets . I would definitely say that this is not set up for tourists . However should you want a very quiet place to chill then terrasini is ok . But don’t go if you want a lively holiday as this place is set in time . But my big bug bear would be how dirty the place is plastic bottles beer bottles and dog poo is not what I expected to see . We would not visit again .
Quiet nice little typical Italian city at the seaside with a nice beach not crowded but a number of bars and evening locations. If you love really typical Italian lifestyle and you are not looking for a heavily crowded and expensive tourist destination, Cinisi - by the way not far away from Palermo and other well known places - is worth a stay!
Terrasini is an amazing little town where time stands still - just long enough to have a memorable vacation of food, sun and peace. We went for the beach, but found that the best part of the vacation was the food and the town square. Restaurants were all amazing. Every meal was memorable, regardless of where we went. Stayed at Terra Sinus B&B- terrific place. We ate at Blanco along the port one night, and had an amazing meal. We returned the very next night - something we have never done before on a vacation. Everything is within walking distance. The town square and Duomo are beautiful. We loved walking there every morning and evening for a true Sicilian experience. Beaches are nice but you have to try to ignore the trash and litter. The town needs to clean that up. They were a disappointment. But the rest of the town experience was true Sicily.
Wonderful little city/town. Not as much to do as Terrasini which is a few minutes away but still enough. Plenty of places to get a quick bite to eat. Definitely give the “Pannelle D’oro” truck a shot, the best pane e pannelle with potato crocchette I have ever had, even my daughters wanted more. You usually can find the truck on the main corso Umberto midday, just parked there cooking it up fresh right in front of you. And it’s cheap 1.8 Euros for a sandwich, crazy. Plus were he usually parks there is a wholesale store where you can get your incidentals dirty cheap, water, beer, tp, etc. say hello to Nino while your there he owns the store.
Let’s just say....I could easily live there. People friendly, generally quiet town, not too touristy. Great restaurants. Plenty of markets for food and supplies. Prices lower than most tourist spots. Pretty close to ideal.
