We have just come back from a really relaxing week at Casa Suites Minizoo. The owner Manuel was super friendly and anything we needed he was happy more than happy to help. The rooms were spotless and very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, including drinking water. The pool area had chairs and sunloungers and was also very clean and comfortable. There are some nice restaurants within walking distance. It is about a 15 minute walk from the closest beach and more restaurants and bars and 30 minutes from the main beach.

This ended up being one of my favorite bookings because I really liked the look of the house, which was kind of under a tree and had a lot of plants. The host family is impressively enterprising, owning and running several businesses, which I also patronized. They were also very friendly and approachable; we chatted most days during my stay. I arrived after dark and the host helped me get my bags to the room. There is a private balcony, which I frequently enjoyed. There are lots of eateries within short walking distance, including a lovely one next door.

A 16-minute walk from Bacocho Beach in Puerto Escondido, Villa Maria Bed and Breakfast offers accommodations with access to wellness packages. Luisa and Paul were perfect hosts and welcomed us warmly to their lovely home. Both their guest rooms are simple, stylish and comfortable, surrounded by lush vegetation. There was plenty of hot water and a large comfy bed. The garden and pool are beautiful. We felt cocooned in a canopy of tall green plants, full of birdsong, perfect for swimming, reading and relaxing. Paul’s organic breakfasts were splendid and varied each day, with plenty of coffee and lots of fresh fruit. A real highlight was getting to know Paul and Luisa a little, which made our stay really special. They gave us a really good feel for the area and also recommended a couple of excellent local restaurants within walking distance; for many others and our favourite beaches we took taxis, which were easy to find and cheap. We found it very hard to leave this calm oasis and would love to return!

I would come here for a peaceful getaway: to read a book at the hotel or on the beach, watch the sunsets, listen to the sound of powerful waves, enjoy sandwiches and coffee at a café, take a boat tour, and go for a sunset walk along the shore. The calm beaches are crowded, and the main beach isn’t suitable for swimming. So if you’re looking for a place to swim a lot — this isn’t the right spot.

Amazing destination for a quick trip. People is friendly and kind. There are a lot of tours with pick up and drop off at the hotel/hostal/ Airbnb included. At night it might feel a bit insecure because there isn't a lot of public lighting but it's safe to walk around. I definitely loved the people, they take care of the environment and tourism. Didi works there but don't expect a quick answer, normal taxi is way better and safe.

We were only there for two nights so we were limited.
We were only there for two nights so we were limited. We stayed in the Rinconada area which is pretty residential, but we found great restaurants (El Nene and Espadin), coffee shop (Dulce Tierra Bakery & Coffee) and beaches. The beaches are small and very crowded. Playa Carrizalillo was the largest and had some shade. Playa Manzanillo and Puerto Angelito smaller but much closer to our condo. They are called swimming beaches but the waves were a bit strong for me, but no problem for my daughter. Taxis are plentiful and easily waved down.

Its a place for surfing so dont expect to get in the sea everywhere because the waves are high in parts of the beaches, but its beautiful to look at this and you can go to sailing with dolphins and turtles. Parties and nightlife more in la punta.

I love Puerto Escondido and didn’t want to leave. It was so beautiful there. Lots of options for restaurants, shopping, etc. I like that it’s not super built up resort wise. Everyone was friendly and we felt safe. It was simply magical and I would love to make it home one day.

Puerto Escondido is a superb coastal location with such a relaxed vibe. People are friendly. There are beaches for surfing and others for swimming avd sunbathing. The marine life is in abundance and many tour companies that can help organise excellent tours for dolphins, whales and turtle watching. Puerto Escondido is a great place to spend a few days after Oaxaca. Will love to return back!

I stayed at Raiz as a solo traveler, and it was terrific; the facilities and rooms were immaculate, and the pool was perfect for relaxing and enjoying an extraordinary cocktail; My favorite was the Santa Anna. The hotel is very close to la Punta, with most of the restaurants, and bars but far enough for privacy; I enjoyed everything here, from the service to the food and the people! Definitely, a must if you are planning to explore PXM
