Victoria (0.3 miles from Seychelles International Airport)
Featuring a garden, Kolibri Holiday Apartments provides accommodations in Victoria. With mountain views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The property is as is in the pictures and the host was very kind to provide items like cooking oil, coffee etc making it easy for those who’d prefer home cooked meals. The host also provided the details on how to order cooked food, where to find groceries etc- there’s something for everyone! The property is very close to the airport and offers spectacular views! You can walk up/downhill but that depends on how fit you are😊 as the hill is very steep-wouldn’t recommend walking up with the luggage. The host also allowed me to check in early and check out past time so as to align with my flight time, that was really kind of them. Additionally, the host facilitated my transfers to and from the airport at a significantly cheaper price than taxis. Thanks Villa Kolibri for making my stay in Seychelles memorable!

The accommodation was perfectly clean and homely, equipped with everything. The host Jude and his wife were very nice, they even gave us a plate of Creole food on the last night which was very delicious. Our favorite beach on Mahe is nearby Anse Royale. There are no big waves here and you can swim. If we return to the island we will definitely stay with them again.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution. You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%. Best Beach Four Season Good restaurant Green House Le duc - Praslin Le repaire- La digue
Marie-Aline, the owner of MARL Self Catering was very helpful and kind. She drove me to the supermarket and Eden Island for free. The apartment was very clean, well decorated and equipped as well as spacious. The location is very quiet, the planes do not make any disturbance. Very close to a bus stop going to Mahé and also a nice little beach only 5 minutes by bus. I highly recommend MARL.
Cerf island is a small island off the coast of Mahe. It is only for people who love peace and quiet, because there is nothing on the island except for a few small hotels. You can walk along the beach and there is one hiking path to the other side of the island, which is said to be pretty steep. The hotels have boats that take their guests over to Mahe (Eden Island), where there is a shopping mall and several restaurants and an excellent ice cream parlour. In order to go anywhere else from Eden Island you have to take a taxi, because, at least as far as I know, there is no public transport from Eden island.
I recommend to carry cash. From the Airport to Anse Boileu taxi will charge you maximum 800 Seychelles Rupees which is around 55USD. There is no taxi service like in most of the countries to catch taxi in the street even in Capital City Victoria. Taxi is on call and 1 trip will cost you min 500 Seychelles Rupees. 100 Seychelles Rupees fee when using ATM. Local bus charges 25 Seychelles Rupees per person. Local shops use card and have mostly all what you need. Road is very narrow and need to be very cautious when driving around. The Seychelles is right side driving country. Water sports quite expensive, for example a Jet ski (1200 Seychelles Rupees 83usd per 30 minutes). Seychelles has lot to offer to visit and explore and view is like in paradise and local community is very friendly.
First of all it's located not far from the airport which is a big advantage taking into account the narrow road. It's a quiet place, we didn't see other people on the beach, we were always swimming alone and having all this paradise place just for ourselves. There are many small food shops aroud within short walking distance. There are nice restaurants nearby, very good food of different kind. Out choice was Greenhouse, we thought it was the best. Walking along the toad is not so comfortable, but you get used to it very quckly.
The island is just like paradise, artificially build but perfectly in style with the atmosphere of Seychelles. So quiet and peaceful, but still has everything you may need . The luxurious place on earth . The view over the mountains from the apartment was just wow.
