Pointe Larue (0.1 miles from Seychelles International Airport)
The Runway Lodge in Pointe Larue provides accommodations with a garden and a shared lounge. With mountain views, this accommodation provides a swimming pool. We stayed one night at The Runway Lodge in Pointe Larue (May 4–5), simply to be close to the airport—and it turned out to be more than just convenient. This small, charming pension delivers a warm welcome and genuine hospitality that makes even a short stay feel pleasant. It’s not a destination in itself, but as a last-night stopover before catching an early flight, it ticks all the boxes: clean, comfortable, friendly, and just a stone’s throw from the runway—minus the chaos. Ideal for travellers who prefer peace over panic before boarding.

Pointe Larue (0.2 miles from Seychelles International Airport)
Touchdown Villa is located in Pointe Larue, just 1.6 miles from Seychelles Airport Beach and 6 miles from Victoria Clock Tower. We stayed here for one night. - As the name suggests, it's a very big villa. Very huge property. - The owner was very friendly and she will offer a taxi service from the ferry (with good rates compared to what you see online). - We came 2 hrs earlier, although we were not able to check in, we were allowed to keep our luggage inside. We paid through credit card. After check-out, we kept our luggage outside of villa as our flight was in the night 10PM. (It was safe to keep luggage outside). - The property is huge, so you have multiple spots to chill and relax. In the outside, there was balcony on ground floor and 1st floor, also seating space in the backside of the villa. - The kitchen is huge, so is the living room (Kitchen could have been more clean, but not major issue). There are 2 washrooms, 1 in ground floor and another in the 1st floor. - A big thanks to the owner as they have a continuous running water filter, so you can have lot of drinking water availability. Kitchen was very well equipped. ( Although it was tricky to use the gas stove ( we couldn't use), be sure to check with owner how to operate during check in, Thankfully, we didn't need it, as we used the electric pot rice cooker to heat some things up). - It is close by to the airport which is a major positive. Location (read carefully) : - Close to the bus stand. (We used public bus during our stay). Also, it is close to a super market. During check-out, we even walked back to the airport from the property. - The property is very, VERY steep ! I am a hiker and a fit person, I could walk from the bus stand to the property, and the walk in itself was a good hike ;) - If you are not fit, you cannot walk from bus stand to the property. Don't take this lightly. - DO NOT THINK, you can carry/push trolley to the property from the bus stand. IMPOSSIBLE. You need a car to come to property with luggage !

Marie-Aline, the owner of MARL Self Catering was very helpful and kind. She drove me to the supermarket and Eden Island for free. The apartment was very clean, well decorated and equipped as well as spacious. The location is very quiet, the planes do not make any disturbance. Very close to a bus stop going to Mahé and also a nice little beach only 5 minutes by bus. I highly recommend MARL.
I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution. You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%. Best Beach Four Season Good restaurant Green House Le duc - Praslin Le repaire- La digue
I recommend to carry cash. From the Airport to Anse Boileu taxi will charge you maximum 800 Seychelles Rupees which is around 55USD. There is no taxi service like in most of the countries to catch taxi in the street even in Capital City Victoria. Taxi is on call and 1 trip will cost you min 500 Seychelles Rupees. 100 Seychelles Rupees fee when using ATM. Local bus charges 25 Seychelles Rupees per person. Local shops use card and have mostly all what you need. Road is very narrow and need to be very cautious when driving around. The Seychelles is right side driving country. Water sports quite expensive, for example a Jet ski (1200 Seychelles Rupees 83usd per 30 minutes). Seychelles has lot to offer to visit and explore and view is like in paradise and local community is very friendly.
The island is just like paradise, artificially build but perfectly in style with the atmosphere of Seychelles. So quiet and peaceful, but still has everything you may need . The luxurious place on earth . The view over the mountains from the apartment was just wow.
First of all it's located not far from the airport which is a big advantage taking into account the narrow road. It's a quiet place, we didn't see other people on the beach, we were always swimming alone and having all this paradise place just for ourselves. There are many small food shops aroud within short walking distance. There are nice restaurants nearby, very good food of different kind. Out choice was Greenhouse, we thought it was the best. Walking along the toad is not so comfortable, but you get used to it very quckly.
Cerf island is a small island off the coast of Mahe. It is only for people who love peace and quiet, because there is nothing on the island except for a few small hotels. You can walk along the beach and there is one hiking path to the other side of the island, which is said to be pretty steep. The hotels have boats that take their guests over to Mahe (Eden Island), where there is a shopping mall and several restaurants and an excellent ice cream parlour. In order to go anywhere else from Eden Island you have to take a taxi, because, at least as far as I know, there is no public transport from Eden island.
