Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They shuttled me to the rental car drop off and to the airport, both trips being outside their shuttles operating hours. I didn’t even have to ask, they just said they’d do it for me.

We arrived late and needed to be picked up at the airport, the shuttle service stopped at midnight but I called and the shuttle driver stayed late to pick us up. The next morning they drove us to the car rental location. Breakfast was one the best I have even had at a hotel. Stuff was so helpful and pleasant.

The hotel was easy to find. It is close to a number of restaurant options. The hotel was quiet. The staff was friendly and competent. Check in and check out was extremely easy. The room looked like it might have been recently upgraded. It was large and very clean. There is a kitchen area with cupboards and a sink but there were no dishes or cutlery inside the cupboards. That was not a deal breaker for us and they may have just not gotten that far if they did recently renovate. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was great with a number of selections. We felt very comfortable at this hotel and will definitely be staying again when in Albuquerque. Great value for what we paid.

Location and Transport
Albuquerque International Sunport Airport is situated just over 3 miles (5 kilometres) from downtown Albuquerque. The Rail Runner train is the easiest way to reach the city, with transfers taking just 15 minutes. The Route 250 shuttle bus runs on weekdays only, while the Route 50 runs on weekdays and Saturday also. A journey into Downtown takes around 40 minutes.

Albuquerque for me is a nice place to visit for a couple of days. Lots of restaurants, shopping areas, zoo, aquarium, amusement park, casinos, and especially balloon fiesta , however it would be best to stay away from downtown central if possible because there are homeless people everywhere. It seems like the homeless population has tripled. It is very disappointing to see them. NOT that they are bad people, most of them are just in bad situations. It doesn't appear that the city is making an effort to minimize the homelessness. Who really knows I don't live there. I just visit.

A visit to the ABQ Art Gallery is a must.
A visit to the ABQ Art Gallery is a must. It is $4.00 for seniors for entry and the exhibitions are unforgettable. The tram ride to the Sandia Crest is lovely and inexpensive compared to the hot air balloon journey. The bio park is well worth a visit and again very inexpensive. Unfortunately, renting a bike is pricey! The weather in the first 2 weeks of November was sunny and crisp everyday.

After staying for a while, I noticed a strong odor of cleaning detergent in the room, which gave us headaches. Later, I spotted a small cockroach inside. When we returned from dinner at a nearby Thai restaurant, we were shocked to find not just one, but several cockroaches roaming around the room in search of food.
It became clear that the strong detergent smell was likely an attempt to mask or control the pest issue. Honestly, management should consider using mothballs or a more effective pest control method instead.
We didn’t sleep well that night—I was terrified that a cockroach might crawl into my bed or even into my ear. I ended up wearing headphones while sleeping just to feel a bit safer.
The next morning, I woke up at 8 AM to check out and stopped by the breakfast area. I noticed the staff having a difficult interaction with a guest, and I genuinely felt bad for them. It must be tough dealing with such situations daily.
We left a tip in the room and checked out. I’m not sure if I’ll be booking a room there again anytime soon.

I kinda don't want to share with the world how much I love this hotel! We 'discovered' it in June and came back in September for my wife's and her dad's birthdays. She and I had a suite and pops-in-law had a king room. This was our second stay here and we have already planned the next trip to ABQ to include Arrive.
This is an older hotel, no frills, but very clean & comfortable. We had an artist's room, which was beautiful. The Native American art and decor is beautiful and peaceful throughout the hotel. The pool and surrounding area are especially nice. We go to ABQ to visit family, and our grandkids love the pool & hot tub. The staff are nice & helpful. Daily room checks are great for coffee, TP, etc. Keurig coffeemaker maker in room. The location is ideal for us, close to I-25 & plenty of restaurants.
