1) The host, Mary. She knows A LOT about Cretan and Greek history, was a TV correspondent, gives cooking classes and loves to chat. 2) The house has a private access, 30 meters from the entrance door, to a rocky beach. Easy access, clear water. 3) Breakfast. 4) Silence.

Absolutely everything! If you are looking at this property for your holiday then please book! Myself and my partner have just spent the most magical 10 days at Villa Stefania Dream. From start to finish, the stay was faultless. The hosts are a wonderful family and are there to help make your holiday perfect in every way, nothing is too much trouble. The villa, itself is stunning with the most breathtaking views of the coast and countryside. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The rooms are spotless and have everything you need. Breakfast is also perfect. The food is just stunning all freshly made by Kleanthi, with produce from the villa! And I highly recommend eating at the villa of an evening. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be returning to this magical piece of heaven in Crete.

A very good accommodation in Bali. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Everything in the room was clean, the cleaning was done every day, and the towels were changed every 3 days. Also the air conditioning was strong enough to cool the room, the bed was comfortable and the room is equipped with everything you need (kitchen accessories, microwave, fridge, stove, kettle). The nearest beach is Varkotopos (3 min walk), also very close to the accommodation is the station of the little train that makes the tour of Bali and a mini market.

I can't say enough good things about Amalia Apartments! From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The location is perfect — just a short stroll from the beaches, with beautiful views of the sea and surrounding hills. It's peaceful, yet close enough to enjoy the charm of Bali’s tavernas, cafes, and shops. Mrs.Niki and Mr. Giannis were great hosts and always with a geruïneerd smile. The Cretan Passion cocktail was a must drink! They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, offering great local tips and even surprising us with small touches that made us feel at home. The apartment itself was spotless, spacious, and very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay — including a kitchenette, air conditioning, and a lovely balcony. The beds were comfy, and everything felt fresh and well cared for. If you're looking for a relaxing, authentic, and affordable stay in Crete, Amalia Apartments is a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Location is exactly 1 hr from Heraklion. We were a party of 7 - 5 adults and 2 kids. We had the largest apartment in the complex plus a separate smaller apartment. The large apartment was amazing. 3 huge rooms, 2 bathrooms, small kitchenette with a sink, fridge,’ microwave, kettle and electric stove with 1 hob and an extractor fan. The downstairs bathroom also had a washing machine! From the upstairs rooms you have a balcony with an amazing postcard view of the pool and the sea. The pool was a nice saltwater pool. There was also a kids paddling pool and kids play area. The owner was very very nice. She gave us lots of recommendations of places to visit. There is a supermarket 5 minutes walk from the hotel and coffee and sandwich shops in the village. They deliver food to the hotel for free (a small tip for the delivery guy is customary). Breakfast by the pool can be ordered the night before for €5 per person. Next door is a very nice hotel with a beachside restaurant serving excellent food with a Cretan/french flair. The beach at this hotel is pebbly/rocky. If you wants a sandy beach you need to drive to Bali or the south coast. A nice way to have a budget-friendly meal is to order food and have it delivered to the covered patio overlooking the sea. This is what most people do if they don’t wish to drive to Rethymno or eat next door. Rethymno is 15 minutes drive from the hotel - parking is easy to find and the town comes alive at night. Overall we had an excellent stay. For a family or couple with a car it’s a great spot.

The property is very well positioned and has a very nice view over the old port beach (we had a room with sea view). We were also impressed about the fact that the sunrise was visible directly from our balcony ☀️ The room was cleaned every day, we were very happy with the cleanliness level. The host, Giannis, was also very nice and always willing to support with everything. He even helped us to have the check in earlier than planned as our flight was a morning one.

The Great place to stay for 1 week on Crete. Amazing view from the pool, one of the nicest landor (Stelios) I have ever met. The property is well located, clean, the only one thing you have to do is to go to shop, complete your fridge and enjoy the holidays! Definitely I will be coming back and recommend to all my friends.

We loved it! Truly enjoyed our stay at this accommodation. The place was clean, peaceful, with comfortable beds, a stunning view, access to a small kitchenette, a hairdryer, hot water available all the time and it’s close to several beaches. The host was extremely kind and even recommended a beautiful beach to visit.
