Don’t be fooled by the uphill tuk tuk ride to the property entrance at the top of the hill. This beautiful property offers seclusion, tranquility and excellent views of nature only a 15 min ride to Weligama. There is also a complimentary shuttle to Mirissa which my friend and I didn’t even use because we decided we didn’t want to leave the property on our last day. The food is stellar and the hospitality is out of this world as well. There are thoughtful touches throughout the property that make this place truly feel luxurious and serene. I plan on returning to stay here, it as a magical experience.

I liked that the house was always clean and cozy, with plenty of space. You have access to a wonderful balcony where you can spend your days and evenings. The bed is comfortable, and the hosts are very hospitable—you can reach out to them with any questions, and they are always ready to help. Bed linens are changed once a week. The location is away from roads and noisy areas, ensuring a peaceful sleep. I highly recommend visiting this place.

Staying with Randika and his family felt less like a rental and more like finding a home away from home. I felt welcomed from the very beginning, in fact, Randika started helping me plan my trip a full month before I even arrived in Sri Lanka. The accommodation itself is good: quiet, relaxing, and excellent value for money. What truly sets this place apart, however, is Randika’s genuine care. He is always there to help with any scenario or challenge you might encounter. I am so grateful for the kindness this family showed me, and there is truly no other place I would stay in Weligama.

I had the most wonderful 17 nights at The Green, Sujee and his wife went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. For Christmas they put a lovely, decorated tree with lights outside my door and got me a new toaster when I mentioned I like to make toast for breakfast. The kitchen was very well equiped and the bed was so comfortable, I had the best sleeps as it is such a peaceful location. It's about a fifteen minute walk to the shops/supermarkets and the beach, a very pleasant stroll but there is always a tuk tuk passing by if you need one. I highly recommend staying with Sujee and his family as you will be very well taken care of and they even cooked me a lovely dinner one evening. I look forward to returning soon as I found a home from home.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The facilities were excellent, and the location was perfect for exploring Weligama. Great value for money.

Absolutely phenomenal stay. Nadee was such a sweet host. The stay is in the guest room of ~50 year old couple and their 23 year old son. I got to know the family (one of the parents is a schoolteacher), the property was beautiful, and there lives a family of cats (mom, dad, son) and a family of outside dogs (mom, daughter) on the property as well. The place was clean and I was often fed amazing Sinhalese food and tea. As a solid female traveler who is also a person of color and visibly Muslim, I was not sure what to expect. But 10/10 recommend - it was an amazing stay!

Absolutely loved our stay at Royal Villa. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and equipped with excellent air conditioning and WiFi. The pool was impeccably clean and well-maintained, making it the perfect spot to relax. The manager was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Nina is an absolutely amazing host! The hotel is brand new, everything is spotless, and the rooms are truly fantastic. With only six rooms, the place feels incredibly cozy—almost like being part of a small family. We felt completely at home and loved it so much that we decided to stay two extra nights!

If you’re looking for the most beautiful and welcoming place to stay in Weligama, look no further! This glamping spot is a dream. Everything is brand new, impeccably clean, and looks exactly like the photos, if not better! The design is stunning, with every detail carefully thought out, making it by far the most stylish and charming place in the area. I was actually the first guest to book this place on Booking.com, as it had just opened, and I couldn’t have been luckier with my choice! But what truly makes this place special are the owners. Ramona and her husband and whole team are the kindest, most hospitable people I’ve ever met. Ramona herself lived in Italy for 15 years, and trust me, you do not want to miss her incredible Italian dishes! Every staff member is warm and welcoming, making you feel like you’re at home from the moment you arrive. One of the most magical things about staying here is waking up to the sound of birds singing in the morning. And if you’re an animal lover, you’ll be happy to know that there are the sweetest puppies and dogs living nearby. They are friendly and adorable, so if you stay here, don’t forget to give them a little treat! If you worried about mosquitoes because of the river? No need! The whole area is regularly treated, so you won’t have any issues. The cleanliness here is on another level, everything is absolutely spotless. And the design is simply breathtaking. You can see how much love, effort, and taste went into every detail. Honestly, for the price, you won’t find anything even remotely this beautiful in Weligama. This place is a hidden paradise!!!

The space was a hidden gem, in every sense of the word. We were in a tight spot and booked last minute and our jaws fell to the floor. Property is immaculate, from the finishing and details to the flooring and greenery. Genuinely beautiful all around. Kanchana and the staff were fantastic to be around.

It’s really beautiful, unique and comfortable. I even saw peacocks walking around the tree house. The open shower is amazing and offers tree view.

The concept, Hospitality and the calmness

We had an amazing time here! Ended up staying longer than we originally planned. The staff was amazing and helped us with everything we could ask for. Everybody was so kind and welcoming A big plus was the delicious and affordable breakfast every morning and the stunning view from the patio during work ☺️

Hosts Igor and Michelle were fantastic. Made sure our yoga classes were suited to my lack of yoga ability. Meals were sensational and fresh and delicious. Great to sit around afterwards to chat to them and other guests.

The house is very cozy and comfortable. The food and service is excellent. The pool is a nice way to chill and relax. The staff is very nice and accommodating. A definite must visit for all happy travellers.

The staff went out of their way to make sure that the guests feel at home. They helped me book various activities in Weligama, always with a smile, and making sure my needs are answered. They make the guests feel part of the family. It is centrally located next to the main beach road with easy ocean access. It is also in a very close proximity to both the main train and bus stations in Weligama.
