A lovely modernised old pub in a small village with lots of character and excellent staff service. It had an unusually good selection of vegetarian food.

We loved the location with easy access to downtown, the river, parking nearby, and the quaintness of the village. The hotel and townspeople were exceptionally nice and went out of their way to accommodate. Good ale and cider in the bar!

We received a very warm welcome after a long journey . The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty with a choice of cereal, toast and a full English. We also had dinner on our arrival, which was good value and plentiful.

So lovely staying with Angela at her guest house on a working farm. It’s nothing fancy but it’s a charming open quiet space with everything you need inc fridge space for you to use plus help-yourself teas and loo roll as the rooms are not serviced. The breakfast is excellent and if you need any tweaks to it, let Angela know a day before (as we chose to so food is not wasted) and you get exactly what you actually want.

Angela is a fantastic host she made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything and she was very helpful with lots of local information. The room was clean, nice and cosy. there was everything we needed with lots of different teas and coffee available. Breakfast was superb, the best that I have ever had at a B and B, the first time I'd been able to have all the components of a full English breakfast gluten free. A great location with lots of walks on the doorstep. We will definitely be visiting again.
