Old carpet and food smell in the hallway but the room was great. Space for luggage, comfortable bed, clean laminate floors made for a very pleasant stay. Nice to have a good restaurant right around the corner, too.

Ground floor apt with off street parking and amazing view of Kirkjufell, right in the middle of Grundarsfjordur. Initially thought the frosted glass was odd, but it works perfectly from inside to sit and stare at the mountain with privacy. Large apt with kitchen and separated small area for sofa with large TV. Olga was great communicator.

It had a nice big kitchen and plenty of bathrooms. The hostess was very helpful and organized. My room while small was perfect size for 1 person.. I would recommend to others.

The hotel is in a good location. It's a very quick walk to the grocery or to get coffee. The staff/hostess was very friendly and allowed us to check in early. There is a nice shared kitchen area.

Very clean and offers a really nice included breakfast! The staff was simply wonderful! I was quite ill when I arrived and asked if I might be able to check in early so I could lay down. The staff graciously accommodated my request and hurried off to make sure my room was ready for me!! (Thank you once again to the folks at Kast Guesthouse!!!) I would absolutely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a comfortable & clean place to stay on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula :)

The location is stunning with the beach in one direction and the volcano in the distance. The buffet was an incredible opportunity to enjoy all kinds of homemade traditional cuisine. The staff was lovely, helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces, collection of whale bones, library of Icelandic art books and a lounge with board games, like cards and hand-carved Icelandic chess.
