Other places might be rated as high on cleanliness, but are older and have a feeling of staying in someone's well-kept house. This is distinctly different - it's more like staying in a spotless, recently renovated hotel suite with a kitchen. The Metro is a short walk and a wide variety of restaurants nearby. I will stay here again.

Perfect location. I had an appointment at the Brazilian consulate in walking distance. Lots of restaurants, drugstores and supermarkets around. We booked parking and it was very convenient cause we only used the car to leave DC. Breakfast was perfect. I avoid gluten and dairy and there were lots of healthy options, homemade smoothie, eggs, almond milk, nongluten cake and bread. Christine welcomed us, helped with our bags and could not have been more courteous. High quality toiletries, slippers, robe, coffee and tea available 24/7. There was a personal note waiting for us at the room. My best stay ever in DC.

I liked how the kitchen was set up. It was available for use including a full fridge, toaster, and water boiler/coffee maker. If I wanted to make myself a breakfast or save money by eating in, I could have! I liked that the fridge had a box for each room.

This place is exactly what you would expect from the title, a cheap place to stay in a good location. If you're not really fussed with comfort or luxury, and just want an affordable place (which is exactly what I wanted) close to everything you want to see in Washington, but having a private room rather than sharing in a dorm, this place is perfect. It's old and quite run down, but the room was clean, which is the important thing.
