The view is truly fantastic. Marisela, the host, is lovely and gave us tips for interesting locations on the island. The apartment has all necessary facilities and was spotless. Its size is also ideal for groups of friends or families.

The view was fantastic, it looks even better in real life. There is a restaurant nearby and a shop not far away, but the house is secluded and there are no nearby neighbors, the view is not obstructed. Each bedroom has a bathroom and a great view. Pool can be heated. The owner was nice and welcomed us with a basket of fresh fruit. Parking was steep, but so is Madeira, we adapted quite quickly. Small gym with a great view is also available. All in all highly suggested!

This place is a garden of Eden, it is Paradise. From the moment we arrived, we lowered our shoulders, took a deep breath - and relaxed. For once it actually is like the pictures! This is a small hotel, with only ca. 20 rooms, and not 200! Quite and mostly hikers! Everything is very clean: the room, the towel, the linen, the restaurant, the terrasse and the pool, which is cleaned and checked every morning at sunrise. The bed was very comfortable, the madras very good for my back. The room was spacious and nice furnished, with a beautiful view and with mosquito netting, so we had the window always open. The food is delicious: the breakfast with daily variation of different bread (full-grain! ), fruits, eggs, dishes..... and homemade marmalade! We enjoyed the 3 course dinner menue, where we could choose between fish, meat or vegetarian everyday, and we were never disappointed, it was delicious. And the most of the food is from their own organic garden, which we were generously guided through by the owner. The whole sustainability concept is amazing, in every detail! The solar power, the sewer systems of recycling for the garden, even the lunchpackage is reusable bottles and cans! For hiking it is the best option on Madeira. The staff is very friendly, helpful and doing everything they can for you. The location is perfect. The best is the atmosphere and the garden, we woke up to birds singing, breakfast under banana tree in the sunrise, the tranquility of the garden, swimming in the pool and dinner in the sunset in the garden. We will be back next year!

More than fully equipped, very comfortable. Much space for 4 (for 5 possible but not ideal). Everything is beautifully decorated, stylish and obviously brandnew (only the dish-washer and hair-dryer seem to be not😉, but it works). The pool was really warm enough to use it when we were there in April with average weather. Jorge, the owner, was very caring. He even gave us an additional bed for a child so we didn’t have to use the sofa-bed in the living-room. The view is beautiful. The house is situated near the entry to the main road to Funchal and only a few 100 meters to the entry to the same main road in the other direction (Porto Moniz). Big supermarket in 5 km, smaller one in 1 km.

Brand new building, fully equipped kitchen. Lots of space and privacy. Pool was clean and comfortable sunbeads. Great localization to get to almost all attractions on the island. I would visit them again

Easy introductory instruction from Atlantic holidays via video including how to get the keys which was very helpful, great on location hosts with Tony and Elouise and great fun too and will take care of any requests you may have. Accommodation was certainly one of the best we have stayed at and we have stayed at many accommodations around Europe and beyond. The accommodation itself is really first class, only used since July its still like brand new, very spacious and practically designed with nice design touches with over 100m2, two bedrooms, walk in shower, a utility room which was really handy for the suitcases (never had this before).. The accommodation has been built regarding living accommodation rather than a short stay so has all the amenities you would expect to suit that. Kitchen had everything even the small things like salt, cooking oil, it really was a move in and relax experience. The pool was inviting and my wife used it and was very happy. You do need to hire a car, not specifically because of the accommodation location but because you need to explore this beautiful island. All in all a definite recommendation thumbs up for Casa Teixeira 10/10!
