the place and the property are amazing, so far the best stay in Costa Rica. hotels do not meet world wide standards here but this property was great! I highly recommend it. Visit the poas volcano and the Starbucks finca from here

Very friendly and hospitable host who speaks Spanish, English and French. Lovely breakfast, beautifully themed cottages, surrounded by nature, all the luxury you need yet eco-friendly. Love the hammoc! Close to the airport yet very quiet at night, I only heard nature sounds which was lovely.

Located in Alajuela, Uruka Lodge has free WiFi, and guests can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge.

We stayed at Uruka for our 1st night in Costa Rica. We wanted to be west of the airport as we were headed to the pacific coast the next day. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t land until after 11pm. I informed Sergio manager and gave him our flight number. He was assuring that no matter how late there would be no problem. We didn’t arrive until midnight. Sergio had chilled bottled water for us. In the morning they gave us a delicious breakfast of rice & beans eggs and toast. We are a family of seven. I asked Sergio if he could arrange a transport for us to Quepos, or if he knew of a better more economical way for us to get there. Sergio came back to me a few minutes later with a transport option and then sat with us and called the bus terminal for their schedule. He told us there was a bus leaving San Jose in five minutes. Sergio called the terminal and arranged for the bus to stop on the highway for us up the road from Uruka. He then drove the seven of us with our luggage to meet the bus and stayed with us until we got on the bus! Uruka is a family run b&b who treat their guests as their own. I can’t thank them enough for the kindness and treatment we received. Thank you Sergio and family!

Brother and sister run place very warm, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfast excellent and can have whatever you want. Lovely setting-quiet, and nice view.

With mountain views, Villa Calas is located in Vara Blanca and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar and garden. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge.

Really lovely cottages with a great view and a guaranteed chance to see hummingbirds. While it can get a little cold, there is a fireplace as well as lots of bedsheets to warm up. Close location to the volcan poas. Staff was really friendly and breakfast & dinner very tasty.

Extremely immaculate and "high gloss" state-of-the-art facility. No other five star facility can outshine this place. Gleaming floors and interior, high-end furnishings, and Four Seasons quality beds. Commerce, i.e. stores and banks, are a very short distance away.
