Steinach am Brenner is a small and nice town where you can find all what you need on the holiday: restaurants, shops and leisure. We came over particularly for skiing and even if the slopes are not so exiting for adults it is very nice for families.
such a nice small town for winter skiing holidays. the ski resort is not big, but it has got green, blue, rad and black tracks! which is best for practising your skills and you never have to be in a long queue for the lifts, and you never feel slops being too crowded! the ski rental shop, Snow sport Georg Messner, is next to the cable car, is very convenient and the staff are all friendly and helpful.
If you plan on making frequent trips in and out purchasing a pass for the toll road is a MUST!! Toll's in and out are 9euro each! Over 4 days we spent over 80euro in tolls! Try to avoid them and you are going to be on a super winding mountain pass that takes an extra 15-20 minutes. It's a very cute town though, especially during the holidays. Small little ski resort is nice for a first day before hitting a bigger one.
