Hotel in Tröpolach
Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Carinzia is centrally located in Tröpolach, a few steps from Millennium Express Cable Car. The large spa area features an indoor and outdoor pool. The property is very beautiful and modern. It’s designed wonderfully and it blends in with the surrounding nature. It has all the amenities you might need. Pool, sauna, fitness erc. However, you have to take in consideration that in can get crouded, since there are a lot of rooms and people especially if the weather is bad. As for the room, it was spaceous and comfortable, with a modern twist. The shower, although see through and all glas, had blinds (thank God) for some privacy. The food in the hotel is plenty and good. We had a half board with breakfast and dinner. Because of the COVID crisis, they opted for QR codes to inform the guests about food, drinks, happenings erc. A good idea 💡 The hotel is a wonderful opportunity if you like to hike or sky since it’s located under Nassfeld and in the direct vicinity of the cable car - it was for free 🍀

Many families visiting Tröpolach loved staying at Hotel-Gasthof Strasswirt, Der Tröpolacherhof Hotel & Restaurant, and Hotel-Garni Zerza.
Spending the time in the ski resort was fun and having the hotel close by was helpful and convenient. The staff was great and the bar was amazon. The rooms were set up perfectly for skiers and snowboarders. I will definitely come back here again.
Small village, perfect for those looking for quiet location. Opposite extreme to Ischgl in terms of the night life. Great place to explore mountains in the summer or for winter sports. Hard to get vegetarian food in the few restaurants there.
Nice small village from where Millennium Express starts. You find everything here, what You need: small and bigger hotels, apartments, guest houses, ski slopes, hüttes (in the village too), bakery, shop, bank automats.
Small city, with one grocery which is not always opened, and hours are not really friendly for skiers, i.e. if U want to buy sth before New Year better check opening hours!!! Not sure about restaurants, except for Zum Alois at the lift station and the one in my hotel, Samerhof.
Excellent position, amazing nature. Just next to Falkensteiner hotel is ski lift which takes you to Kofelplatz-Madritsche on 1919m high (aprox. 30 min ride uphill) and excellent mountain restaurant where I can strongly recommend germknoedel. Tropolach is also having excellent cycling and running routes. Golf course is very close.
There is really very little apres ski in Tropolach - we only found one restaurant - the Samerhof - and a couple of bars near the gondola station which were not very lively and soon emptied at the end of the day. The queues for the first lift up in the morning were horrendous. No matter what time you arrived there was always a 30 minute wait to board. I think we were in one of the busiest weeks of the season - Dutch week - 25th Feb. to 4th March. Pistes were quite crowded and further queuing on the mountains. The skiing itself was good and the pistes well maintained but there was a lack of good mountain restaurants particularly on the sides of pistes. The restaurants that there were became packed at lunchtimes - an hour to get food on one occaision. In a less busy week these things would probably not be an issue.
