Dont judge a book by its cover, this little hotel may not look like much from the street but is a well appointed, tastefully renovated rooms and ensuite and very clean. Staff are very friendly and thoughtful. The local pub serves up a great meal and cold beer. Highly recommend staying here.

Augathella is a very, very small, and decaying "Outback Qld"...
Augathella is a very, very small, and decaying "Outback Qld" village, just off the main road going on to Tambo, similar. It is really battling (being somewhat overwhelmed by e.g. Charleville and Tambo) so if the opportunity arises, travellers should consider a quick stop to grab a meal/ refreshment, perhaps spend the night.... just to help out the remaining Battlers. BTW: it can get pretty cold out there during the winter months!! But be under no illusion- if heading north, Tambo is a MUCH better place to overnight.
