Very friendly hosts. Loved the live music at happy hour and friendly environment. Very reasonable rates in a small town where other options seem to be quite overpriced.

Blackall has an excellent information centre with very helpful staff. A map of the town with major attractions is available there. The hot baths are a great place to visit for the cost of $2. We also enjoyed the wool scour tour and the locals were very friendly and helpful. There is a walking track and some very good public art on various town buildings.

A very interesting small town in Western Queensland, full of outback history and buildings including the famous and unique Woolscour building and operation. The centre of town has many interesting heritage buildings in the main street. The former Masonic Lodge nearby, now a cafe and gallery, is an architectural gem. A most informative self-guided history walk brochure is available from the visitors centre. A very worthwhile stop for a day or more on any trip to get a real look at Western Queensland.
