Boasting a beachfront location, NRMA Bowen Beachfront Holiday Park offers self-contained villas. Guests enjoy a lagoon style outdoor pool, beachfront BBQ facilities and fishing from the boardwalk. Perfect resort for kids. Lots of space to play - ride bikes, scooters, rollerblades. The pool is very clean and large enough for lots of people to do so without getting in anyone else’s way.
Located in Bowen, 5 mi from Big Mango, Port Denison Motor Inn provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking and barbecue facilities. The owners were friendly & helpful. The gardens were very well kept & beautiful. The facilities & room were comfortable & we had everything we needed on hand or close by. We enjoyed our stay & will definitely revisit.

Bowen is a layed back country town. Beautiful beaches couple o of great cafes, fish and chips shops, Suntan - a great burger shop, Plenty of walking tracks, children playgrounds, skate parks, barbeque areas, lookouts, pushbike tracks and great weather and no traffic lights.
Only spent one night at Bowen, we got fish and chips at the local fish shop it was really tasty food and plenty of it quite yummy didn't get time to see much of Bowen .seems like a nice little town .
I live and work in Bowen at The Grandview Hotel( best venue and best food in town) my partner( who doesn’t live in Bowen) and I also have our breaks together in Bowen rather than going elsewhere, staying at Coral Cove and other places, Coral Cove has a couple of beautiful little shallow beaches right there making it ideal for families with kiddies, or a couple wanting some privacy and relaxation, the hosts Kate and Pat are super friendly and very accommodating. U can never leave your room and still have a great time with Foxtel available, or just soak up the view from the balcony, U can take the 50 mtr walk to Horseshoe Bay(voted Nth Qlds best beach) have a swim and then hike over Mother Beddick with another quick dip at the beautiful Murray Bay in between. On Sunday just along from Coral Cove u can enjoy coffee and breakfast at the local markets, with plenty of bargains on offer, from fresh produce, jewellery and clothing etc Bowen is a little hidden gem that should not be bypassed, come and surprise yourself, and who knows you could be like me, come for a holiday and end up making it your home ❤️
Visiting the Bowen Historical Museum was a highlight of our trip. The lovely ladies at the museum were very informative of the history of Bowen, and the wonderful displays of how life was in earlier days brought back memories. The re-located homestead was a treat. The view from Flagstaff Hill across the sea and the lighthouse was also exceptional. We drove through farmland and brought the local farm produce, exceptional quality and freshness. Bowen has a lot going for it for interesting things to see and do, that is easy to access.
Even though we had drizzly weather, the scenery made up for it. The beaches and coves surrounding Bowen are amazing. Plenty of great opportunities for taking beautiful photos. Some great walking tracks. We came upon an echidna enjoying the peace and quiet. Due to Covid19, not much was open. I'm sure once things start opening up again there would be places to dine. We found a lovely little french bakery and had some great pies for lunch. Though the circumstances limited us, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Bowen is very quiet. We were visiting a family member so had plenty to do. If you enjoy fishing or sailing Bowen would make a great holiday. Close to Airlie Beach for Whitsunday Island access. Plenty of fast food outlets and an IGA and Woolworths supermaket for supplies. Several hotels for dinner or lunch.
The owners were friendly & helpful. The gardens were very well kept & beautiful. The facilities & room were comfortable & we had everything we needed on hand or close by. We enjoyed our stay & will definitely revisit.
Awesome holiday and so pet friendly! There was even a little fenced garden attached to the room. My dogs loved it - as it was right on the beach I could take them for midnight strolls on the beach.
The position of the motel is ideal as it's on the edge of town, easy to leave when going out of Bowen. The beds were comfortable, shower was good and the room was quiet.
Col is a wonderful host. This was a quick overnight stop passing through. Can't beat the location for this - Right on the highway and overlooking the ocean.
Obviously the location is amazing and it was wonderful being so close to the absolutely beautiful beach at Horseshoe Bay.
