Bright-What a beatiful town, plenty of things to see and do out of ski season, from beautiful walks by the river as well a swimming in the well set up river area only a short walk from the town centre. Plenty of dining options with restaurants, hotel, cafe's and the local brewery as options. A fantastic Christmas shop was a bit of a surprise as well as plenty of other shops for those things you might have forgotten or hire a bike to use on the trails around the area.

Beautiful location.

Beautiful location. Vibrant due to "The Tour Of Bright" cycling race up through the mountains, beautiful river, good dining. Recommend Tomahawk for share platter and great cocktails, but so many other good restaurants. Not for me, but hang gliding, rock climbing cycling. For me...great fly fishing in the Ovens and Buckland Rivers. Great base for skiers in the winter

Bright is our favourite place in the world, so I guess we’re a little biased. I could wax lyrical all day about how it’s the perfect spot for families with the river, the wonderful adventure playground, the splash park, the walking tracks and the ice-cream shop with the best ice-cream, not to mention the perfect spot for adventurers at the base of Mt Buffalo and close to the ski fields of Falls Creek and Mt Hotham. It’s the perfect spot for those who don’t want to travel around as everything you could need is within walking distance, and of course the perfect spot for gardeners with the abundance of spring blooms and glorious autumn colour, and let’s mot forget the perfect spot for cyclists … I could go on and on. Instead, I’ll just quote Molly: do yourself a favour!

Perfect location for a 2-3 day family stay.

Perfect location for a 2-3 day family stay. Town is right on the riverside with beautiful scenery in every direction. Some nice cafes and restaurants. A 30-45min drive in any direction for an adventure and scenic drive.

Lovely pretty town.

Lovely pretty town. Enjoyed pit stop bros burger joint and Thai restaurant in Ireland st and recommend gum tree pies. Beautiful views above mount beauty and red stag restaurant had amazing views with deers, emus and ostriches. Great alpine break

Bright is picturesque and one of my favourite places to...

Bright is picturesque and one of my favourite places to visit any time of the year. You can hire bikes (or bring your own) and ride the rail trail which mostly follows the river meandering alongside bush and farmlands. Mount Buffalo is close by for fantastic views, great bushwalks (outside of winter) and the beautiful old Chalet (currently closed but due to reopen in 2026). In winter you can also cross-country ski and toboggan at Mt Buffalo. The ski fields of Mt Hotham and Falls Creeks are just over an hour away. The canyon walk in the centre of Bright is beautiful and if you are lucky you can catch a glimpse of a platypus. There are a good range of restaurants, cafes & pubs and lots of gorgeous shops to browse - my favourites are Winding Road Design Studio and Bowerbird. If you have kids there is one of the best playgrounds and water play areas right on the river. All in all, Bright is fantastic - we have had many holidays there over the last 25 years and will keep returning as we love it so much. Each time we return we always find something a bit different to do, see or explore.

5 Stars – Great Stay at Sierra Motel! I had a wonderful stay at Sierra Motel. The room was neat, clean, and very comfortable – exactly what you hope for in a relaxing getaway. There was plenty of space to spread out and feel at home. The location is excellent too – just a short walk to the river and very close to the main street of Bright, so everything you need is within easy reach. It’s a perfect base for exploring the area. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Beautiful new, modern cabin that was extremely comfortable for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Fabulous amenities, really comfortable beds. Great surprise of a tv in the main bedroom and the Nespresso pods for the coffee machine! Amenities were more of a hotel standard than a 'cabin' with toiletries and a hairdryer. Just felt it was a really high standard of accommodation that exceeded our expectations. Cant wait to get back!

Location was fabulous a short and beautiful walk along the river to central Bright. Great for a family. The beds were comfy and good linen. The host was very responsive and lives nearby. The house was clean on arrival. The kitchen was big and functional. There was easy spacious parking.
