Surrounded by beautiful flower gardens, the 1870 Cambridge House offers free cooked breakfasts and free WiFi. Guests can relax in the cozy lounge or admire the garden views from the veranda. Cambridge House was a delight. We were expecting great food but were blown away by the exceptional Japanese meals and the way in which they were served to us. The building is a fine example of a house of its era, on which Thana and family have put their own warm and welcoming stamp. I highly recommend this as a unique experience - very memorable.
Located in Geeveston, Kymmik Cottage offers free bikes, a garden and a grill. fresh farm eggs and freshly made bread was provided, both were very nice. There was also an assortment of cereals, milk, tea and coffee machine so all breakfast needs easily provided. The cottage was very modern, very clean and fully self contained. A large bath & shower was in the cottage with plenty of hot water to relax in. With both a heat pump & wood heater ready for use we were always toasty warm. Our hosts Kym & Kim were both very helpful and friendly.
Located in Geeveston, Tahune AirWalk Lodge has barbecue facilities. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi. Location was great. Rooms were clean and cozy. Staff were helpful.
The Kermandie Hotel features a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Port Huon. There's a terrace and guests can use free WiFi and free private parking. Located in Cygnet, Ambience on Huon Bed & Breakfast has accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with a terrace. Cyndie is an amazing host, taking care to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The property is in a perfect location to use as a base to explore the Huon Valley and surrounds. The view from the verandas to the Huon River were wonderful. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of hot or continental (or both!). We started each day with a fresh coffee and a sample of Cyndie’s award winning preserves and home made granola. We can highly recommend booking Cyndie for dinner too!
Providing garden views, Villa Talia Tasmania in Wattle Grove provides accommodations, free bikes, a garden, water sports facilities and barbecue facilities. This was a beautiful house in a stunning location. The whole family loved it! Additionally everything has been thought of - it was extremely well equipped and very thoughtfully provisioned. Thank you!
Very beautiful scenery and comfortable accommodation. However, the food was alright but quite expensive. It takes too long to get outside from the airwalk/accomodation to the town (more than an hour to get out and back)
Relaxing location, close to Hartz World Heritage area, where we did a bushwalk including climbing Hartz peak (a moderately challenging 3-4 hour walk) with amazing views, close to the famous Tahune air walk where we did the new kayaking tour down the Huon river ( not hard, suitable for most people) called the Twin Rivers experience: great, calm, relaxed and competent guides Chris and Caitlin. Beautiful forest. In Geeveston, there is a creek with platypus which you might see if you are patient! And the children's playground is fantastic! There was not a lot of choice to eat out at night but we went to the Kermandie hotel which was very comfortable and with a lot of choice of tasty meals. Lunch is available in Geeveston with a bakery, a couple of cafes (although don't leave it too late in the afternoon for lunch!) and a very well stocked lolly shop! Beautiful countryside around. Gorgeous place. A good visitor's centre.
The Bakery was excellent for coffe & lunch, central place to stay for visiting Tahune air walk, Cockle Creek & Information centre in Geeveston was most helpful with ideas on drives to take etc.
The tourist information centre held great exhibits of the things happening in Geevestone and yesteryear was shown by the sculptures in the streets showing Geevestones history. Very interesting but small community. The Bear Went Over The Mountain food was delicious and well presented.we dined there both nights.
Everything was perfect. We had the best stay and if we return for another visit will would probably stay in that area and make it home base. The hosts were very caring and the home is beautiful. It felt like home and there's no better recommendation than that. The breakfasts were superb and the bed was made how I make it at home. Not tucked in so when you go to get in, you almost have to remake it. Many memories of my Dad there too which made it even more special. 10 out of 10.
We visited in order to run the southern most parkrun in Australia. A delightful course around a park, all the locals were very friendly. The park has a stream running through it with platypus living in it, we saw them, very exciting.
This is one of the most healing, restful places i have ever stayed. Host Kim is one of the most beautiful lovely people I've met and i felt incredibly welcome as soon as i arrived. You can see the care, love and attention to detail the hosts have put into building this place. And you are surrounded by the most gorgeous, inquisitive and friendly animals you can imagine. If you just want to rest and see what Geeveston has to offer, this is the place.
The style of the hotel if very nice, with a rustic look in the rooms. The staff is very nice but service is a bit too slow. Very good position if you are visiting the Hartz national park!
Such a gorgeous find in Geeveston. Quaint, historic home, a bit quirky but comfortable, well located, easy walk to centre of town. Welcoming hosts and a great breakfast! Recommend.
