Coppers Hill Private Accommodations is located in Gloucester. Each room here will provide you with a flat-screen tv, air conditioning and an electric kettle. The motel style accommodation at Coppers Hill was wonderful. The large verandah at the front was a boon also and lovely to enjoy breakfast and lunch in the sunshine or sit and read. So quiet and peaceful. Magpies singing added to the atmosphere. Such a beautiful space in a great location in Gloucester, walking distance to the township and a lovely walk down to the river. The museum was just across the road and is worth a visit. There are 2 pubs in town both of which we tried for dinner on the two nights we stayed. This was a perfect end to our 2 week road trip around NSW. Thanks Trudy and the owners for making our stay so enjoyable.
Boasting impressive views of the surrounding Barrington and Gloucester valleys, The Ridge Gloucester is set on 100 acres of lovely countryside. The location is amazing and the outlook a dream. The were Kangaroos and cows passing by. Australian native birds nesting in the garden. Eastern Rosellas feeding in the paddocks of lush green grass. The clouds passing and the light mist in the mornings were amazing and mesmerizing at the same time.
Good walking trails close by. Friendly towns folk. Barrington Tops fabulous but at the time of our stay limited access due to recent weather events which closed the road beyond the lookout. 4WD vehicle a must to even get to the lookout. Tourist Information Centre VERY helpful and accurate in the information provided.
It’s a lovely quiet country town, a detour off the New England Hwy. it has good walking and cycling paths along the river. Afterwards don’t miss Apsley Falls en route to Walcha & Armidale. We ate at the Roundabout Hotel. Fantastic steaks!
Gloucester is a small country town not far from Barrington Tops National Park. There are a couple of pubs and a few restaurants and bakery. There are many hiking trails available with some access by car or 4 wheel drive.
Gloucester is a neat and tidy town with interesting shops and plenty of cafes for the large number of visitors that pass through. The trip up to the Barrington tops is rugged, but the scenery is great for the passengers. We enjoyed the cafes there, with our favourite the 57 Gloucester, although we had no complaints with the others we tried in our week there.
We had coffee at two different cafes. It was bad at Roadies and good at Cafe 57. We also ate at cafe 57. The food was tasty and good value. We had Thai take away from Yim Thai. The portions were generous and yummy. It is easy to get around Gloucester because the main street is short. We went on a short steep walk with great views called Bucketts Scenic walk. Barrington Tops national park was our main destination. It’s a long drive but worth it. I want to visit again ASAP.
Friendly folk at the info cntre & friendly service at the not so big & popular pub up the main street. Loved Barringtons. Would have loved some maps of things to see and do in motel room...as Info Centre was not open on Sunday.
The motel was nice and close to everything in the small town of Gloucester. The room had good spacing, adequate for what I needed for my stay, such as a kettle, micro wave, iron and air conditioning. The pool would be enjoyable during the warmer days too.
Very clean, quiet and comfortable motel, 2 minutes walk from the centre of Gloucester and across the road from t lovely park. Staff were friendly and parking easy.
The location of the property was unbeatable, the views of Gloucester was to die for. We felt we were on top of the world. The cabin had everything we needed.
Everything! The location, the view, the birds and the comfort of the cottages
The accommodation was equivalent to a 4 star hotel room. Nice.
Centrally located in Gloucester, close to everything.
Gloucester area is lovely and very quiet.
