The Pioneer Park and Museum was absolutely mind boggling- such a huge collection of old buildings and machinery- we got there at 11am and left at 4pm- amazing what they are doing there. The town of Griffith is great for foodies.
The town of Griffith is great for foodies. Some good restaurants, great wineries. We particularly enjoyed the Calabria Winery. We also went driving around to look at all the farming areas around Griffith, so much more than just oranges. The city is well laid out, plenty of interesting places and surrounds, people are friendly and considerate. Malcolm’s restaurant was generic, clean, well staffed and the food excellent. When I got off the train at Griffith at 8 20pm a friendly lady from the tourist office or bus co. met me and asked if I needed help with transport. She pointed to a bus and said "that bus will take you right to your hotel." I said, "oh I dont have any cash." She said "It's ok, get on." The bus driver was busy. I boarded and sat down and put down my luggage. Then he said "$2.30." I said "oh I told the lady (who was at the door) I don't have any cash." He replied "well get off then." Griffith is a great place to visit, really enjoyed the feel of it. Local people are so friendly and helpful, we couldn't of had a better welcome. The visitors centre was great , the lady there explained everything there was to do and even marked every location on the map. All the shops are great and had everything we needed. Restaurants were of excellent quality. The gym ,functional fit was so friendly and everyone welcomed us and made us feel at home. All in all it's a great placeGuest review byjayneUnited Kingdom

The Toilet was clean and the little kitchenette provided was very handy as well. The Room was also extremely Clean with Air Con and Beds were comfy too. Unlike other hotels, they had provided odorless pest control spray which became very handy :-) Overall, highly recommended. It offers secure parking for a small fee. The High Street is just across a small park. Griffith is fairly small and sleepy but makes a perfect stop beyond Melbourne.
