A very cute Studio Cottage. Tastefully done in Cottage Country Blue theme. Welcoming outdoor patio. The bed was very comfortable, large fluffy towels, two comfortable wing back chairs. The supplied breakfast was more than adequate. Suzanne was very responsive to a couple of inquiries.

Hay is pretty quiet for a coastal city person like me,...

Hay is pretty quiet for a coastal city person like me, especially on a Sunday between Christmas and New Year. However, being approximately half-way on the drive between Sydney/Wollongong and Adelaide, it provides an ideal location to rest up overnight, especially as a solo driver. It has a good supermarket and cafe and there were plenty of options for an evening meal at the RSL, Bowling Club and pub provided you are ready to eat around 6pm. I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Saltbush Motor Inn in the centre of town which I highly recommend.

I have always loved Hay.

I have always loved Hay. It's a town with history and some fantastic older buildings. Great place to stay when travelling onto other areas. A must visit to the supermarket where the owner has some of his old bikes on top of fridges. It really is something special. Think about staying a couple of nights at least.

Hay has put a lot of effort into making a visit interesting. The water tower art commemorating service personnel was a highlight. Check out their website visithay.com.au and you might be tempted to stick around for a second night.

We were only staying overnight, but Hay is a lovely and safe place to stay. I wish I had more time to stay longer and visit the Shearers Museum. Now I know it's there, I'll definitely return for a visit. I'll also let others know about it.

We stayed in Hay overnight on our drive to Canberra. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Being a Monday night some dining venues were closed. Bought a pizza from nearby, which we enjoyed for tea.

Hay is a fantastic and friendly town with all the facilities and services one could need. It also has a surprisingly large and varied number of activities for a quick break while travelling through or a longer stay in Hay itself. We absolutely loved our trip to Hay.

The Saltbush Motor Inn is well situated on the Main Street in Hay. Check-in is prompt and the staff welcoming. The room is spacious, clean and well presented, with a king size bed, small table and chair set-up and kitchenette. The bathroom had a shower-over-bath. There's plenty of space for the luggage. It was also close to dining options, with pubs nearby. A very nice set-up.
