Located in Macedon, Macedon Ranges Hotel & Spa has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi. Guests can use the indoor pool and the hot tub, or enjoy garden views. At the hotel, each room has a... I liked that there was a policy to not smoke indoors. That can ruin the atmosphere and experience for guests who have to endure the smells and pollution during their stay. I also like the quietness of the place and simplicity of the rooms. I did not require much for my stay (except a microwave to heat my food) and I found it satisfied my specific need to live simply, cleanly, and peacefully. I especially appreciated the receptionist whose name I failed to get. She was welcoming and kind from the beginning to end. Check-in was easy. She offered places to visit and things to do, and briefly spoke about the area. I didn't even have to ask. Not only that, she didn't just check me in only to shoo me away. She made my experience a personal one and I appreciated her calmness and professionalism. When I checked out, she even told me about her own travels and encouraged my solo travels. It made me feel comfortable. Such a kind lady. I'm definitely going back based on my short experience and recommending friends and family. Please pass my appreciation to her.
Hollyhock has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Macedon. Some units feature a seating area and/or a patio. This weekend booking was a birthday treat for my brother and his wife, for my brother's birthday. They both had been working really hard & were stressed and exhausted - my brother regularly not sleeping well. They returned from their overnight stay at Hollyhock absolutely *glowing*, happy, and truly emanating *relaxation* from every pore! I haven't seen my brother so totally relaxed in ... since COVID began, really. (And he had slept exceptionally well, my sister-in-law smilingly told me.) They *loved* the wonderful breakfast provided and the light, airy, windowed "nook" in which they relaxedly partook of it, looking out onto the beautiful garden grounds. They will definitely come back - and we will come to Hollyhock too!
Stylish, sophisticated and extremely comfortable, the Cottage at Bolobek was originally the Station Hand’s house. The Cottage is located in the middle of the property next to the historic garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the Cottage was lovely, well equipped and spacious. We were especially impressed with the size of the bedrooms and the kitchen. The bed linen and towels were of high quality. Breakfast was lovely, especially the raspberry jam. The gardens are spectacular. Lisa, was warm and welcoming, very easy to deal with, we appreciated her time giving us a run down before we were left to enjoy the residence on our own. Highly recommend
Featuring free WiFi, Braeside Mount Macedon Country Retreat Bed and Breakfast offers accommodations in Mount Macedon, 45 minutes' drive from Daylesford. Andrew was more then accommodating. Fresh loaf of home cooked bread when we arrived and the fridge stocked with heaps of goodies. Even bought over a basket was with pancakes for the kid's. Set up fishing rods for the kid's to have a fish. And even stayed and helped them. The kid's spent hours with him learning about the farm and why things did what they did. Gave the kid's a bucket of hay, morning and night to feed the alpacas And let them feed the chickens and collect their eggs. Could not recommend this place higher! Well done Andrew! We will be back.
Located in Gisborne, 31 miles from Werribee, Macedon Ranges Homestay has a garden and free WiFi. Craigieburn is 21 miles from the family stay, while Taylors Lakes is 22 miles from the property. The small touches and friendly greeting. Biscuits & soft drinks at no extra charge was a wonderful touch. Best towels ever. Beautiful bathroom.
Our greeting at check in wasnt very pleasant The lady who initially greeted us is a nice lady and tried her best to sort out what at 1st looked to be a non existing booking. The rude manager decided to but in and so called "help"the lady who was doing fine without his help. He talked down to us and questioned us about why we booked through booking.com and how crap booking.com is. We had been charged for a breakfast thats only served on weekends so we asked for a refund and were told to do it through booking.com in which eventually we received notice we will get a refund. Does not make sense why this hotel is on booking.com stating and selling a breakfast that's not available through the week The manager also stated we should pay any loss in that mistake about breakfast and was very smart alec in his mannerism. The manager was whingy and rude and not welcoming at all so good luck keeping ya job mate. Will never go there again
we ate at the macedon railway hotel very nice great staff, food was fantastic, we also had breakfast at mount macedon post office café yummo. we had a look at the cross very nice, great walk, awesome view
Perfect location I felt the weight on my shoulders drop in even driving into that place . Amazing view while in the spa Fantastic restaurant and service . Will be back for sure . Thankyou for making my stay a memorable one x
Lovely setting, and the autumn leaves were just magnificent. Macedon is close to other towns such as Trentham and Daylesford so we spent a day exploring those towns. Mt Macedon gardens- they will take your breath away!
As we stayed just 1 night on Christmas night the experience of collecting our keys and the communication from staff was exceptional. Upon seeing our lovely large rooms with the massive bed, bathroom and spa bath it was a real treat after a very draining day of travelling & festivities. The rooms were very clean and it was so very peaceful. Would recommend to anyone.
We stayed at Macedon Ranges Hotel and Spa which was a fantastic experience. Macedon Wine Room for dinner is a must, the views are absolutely incredible. Would recommend heading down to Forest Glade Gardens, pristine and lush garden to spend a couple of hours walking around. Greg's Hidden Lake is also great place to visit, perfect for a dip in summer and the locals love it!
This property is exceptional. The hosts are extremely considerate, hospitable and helpful. The breakfast supplies were all and more than you need. These supplies were farm fresh and delicious. The cottage is up to date and extremely clean. The bed, very comfortable and cosy. The kitchen, set up with all you need. This property offers a really relaxing retreat yet it is close enough to all the beautiful options on offer in the Macedon Ranges for your day outings.
Beautiful house, beautiful town, beautiful area. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming host/owner. Best, most filling breakfast I had during my six-week trip to Australia and New Zealand. Macedon is a scenic, quiet place to stay and is connected to Melbourne via a frequent train (one hour each way, easy day trip). Don't miss nearby Hanging Rock and Mount Macedon. Thanks, Chris, hope to return one day!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was ready and cool when we arrived on a very hot day. Overall the rooms were comfortable and bed was very comfortable but the hotel it’s self is tired and in the need of some repairs. It was a little different from the pictures on the internet.
Very spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Beautiful countryside. The view of the sunset from the kitchen window was lovely. Sharon was very welcoming and helpful.
Spacious rooms, recently renovated bathrooms and comfortable beds.
