A very peaceful environment with a beatiful view of North West Bay. The bed was very comfortable and there was no noise whatsoever; we got a really great night's sleep during our 3-day visit. The breakfast was fantastic (way beyond expectations). Custom made to order, with homemade breads and homemade jams; really tasty.

If you’re looking for a peaceful serene getaway that’s near the beach, look no further than the Eagle Ridge Retreat! Wake up to feeling like you are a top a tree house and living among the wildlife. No steps I turned. Craig is very responsive and accommodating. We even woke to fresh bacon, eggs and fresh milk in the fridge for our Nespresso coffee ;)

Villa Howden needs a couple nights to unwind.

Villa Howden needs a couple nights to unwind. Enjoy the pool, pack the golf clubs or the stand up paddle board. Good launch place for Bruny Island. Incredible brewery at Hopfields. Lovely spot just out of Hobart.

Loved that we stayed here. I orginally wanted to stay in the Tower suite but it was booked for the dates i wanted to stay. So i booked a suite anyway. On our second day (we visited Bruny Island) i received a phone call from Villa Howden asking if we wanted to have an upgrade to the Tower suite as it was my birthday. So they moved all of our things into this beautiful suite. It was so thoughtful. Villa Howden is easily accessible if you have a car and getting to and from everywhere is easy. The Villa itself is just lovely considering its age. It does require some work. We had dinner one night there and breakfast everyday. Room was very clean and so were bathrooms. Like that it has a seperate toilet to the bathroom. Fridge is stocked of snacks and drinks which I think is excellent. Nothing was an issue for the staff at Villa Howden. We plan on coming back again in the future.

This place is amazing it’s actually the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we have travelled a lot - it is the most glorious Tuscan Villa - you feel you are actually in Tuscany. The ambience, the decor, decorations are all superb, the rooms are magnificent we stayed in the Tower Suite it’s huge with a free standing bath and glorious views. Breakfast is wonderful and it is close to Hobart, Kingston, Bruny Island and everything south of Hobart. We return again and again and we always will.

Such a beautiful place and location to stay! Very peaceful , natural surroundings and a gorgeous, country style house which accommodated our large family so comfortably. We visited from Melbourne to attend a wedding at Villa Howden just 5 minutes up the road - which worked so well location wise too. Lovely surroundings in Margate. Hosts provided great communication too. We wish we could have stayed longer!

A stunning hotel in a fantastic location. Villa Howden has a calming vibe and beautiful interior. My partner and I had an evening meal and we both chose the steak. We both agreed it was the best steak we had eaten. You could have cut through it with a spoon. Superb!

Lovely decorated boutique hotel, beautiful common area and library , spacious room with fantastic bath and shower, nice view. Good heated indoor swimming pool. Helpful staff especial housekeeping lady.
